That worked for him when he was negotiating with a string of powerless contractors in one-off interactions. But now he's negotiating with equals in repeated interactions. Maybe he should threaten to sue Iran for a billion dollars. |
| So how many of those billion dollar skyscrapers in Dubai and Qatar are going to be repopulated after this? These tiny kingdoms really fked themselves because they have no economic potential outside of oil, finance, and tourism related to those two things. |
They make more money off these big, expensive clunky assets that get taken down by cheap drones. So we get politically stuck with this crap because these defense companies lobby for it. Huge clunky waste of money. |
In places like China and North Korea, treachery is dealt with swiftly. We've frowned upon it for decades but this is the end result of "fiduciary duty", crony capitalism, and the soullessness among the 1%. We should have dealt with it during the Occupy Wall Street era but too many people were still in a trance. It literally has taken a global pandemic, a genocide, a pedophile ring among the same 1%, the trashing of the US Constitution, and an illegal invasion for 2/3 of the people to wake up. What more tragedy do we have to wait for until the remaining 1/3 does? |
This!! I am livid. Putting aside the folly of Trump bombing another sovereign nation for no reason at all, which is hardly inconsequential. All those trillions of dollars could have been spent on healthcare, infrastructure, schools, housing. Instead we have dinosaur equipment that costs a fortune and is not fit for purpose. |
All the American military assets in Qatar, Kuwait, etc are what allow the US to warn Israel of incoming ordinance. You take out those forward intel bases and you have much less time to react to ICBMs, drones, etc. |
|
Why is dunking so easy for Iran? It's like Iran is Jordan and Trump plays in the G-League.
Iran's Propaganda Video Brings Up Epstein Files |
| The Administration is floating a suspension of the Jones Act, which could put the US military on civilian ships...This is the stupidest idea in a sea of stupid ideas. |
| Honest question - are there people out there who believe Trump when he says Iran bombed their own girls primary school and killed 180? |
|
Yeah, it's already happened. |

* SAUDI ARAMCO IN TALKS TO BUY UKRAINIAN DRONES TO PROTECT OIL FIELDS -- WSJ |
Apparently, yes. There are also people who believe the earth is flat and that men have never been on the moon. What are you going to do, there are idiots everywhere. |
The US military can’t open the strait of hormuz because of what the Iranians have on shore. The Iranians have been blowing up port facilities at the ports the US use in the gulf. The Iranians can hit any target they choose in the gulf at will. Iranian missiles and drones are still being launched. The Iranian regime is still functioning at a high level. Oil prices are climbing. LNG prices are sky high with physical shortages not speculators driving the pricing increase. Allied oil facilities are easily hit by Iranian attacks. Now oil tankers are burning. What’s happening at US airbase in the gulf? Is this where all the US casualties are coming from? How many long distance radar arrays have been taken out? How many do we have left in inventory? Are US planes being hit on the ground? Everyone is saying the military is doing a great job. Are they really? Has anything changed? Do results count or is it just the number of bombs being dropped? This reminds me of Vietnam and body counts. Does not seem like what they are bombing for billions of dollars a day is accomplishing anything besides hardening resolve. Why is no one asking these questions? Whats it going to look like in a week? What’s it going to look like in a month? |
