JR did not harm CB, per LE she was repeatedly stabbed in the neck by her husband, one would struggle, even against restraints in that situation unless sedated in some manner. It would be an involuntary fight for survival. If she was moved, she was not on the bed. So where was she when Joe was literally backed into a corner and down on his knees?

Still, the logistics are confounding... how does BB switch out his gun for a knife while holding CB at bay -- and then getting close enough to her to hold her down and slash her. You'd think there would be some opportunity for CB to fight... unless they restrained/tied her. That seems like the only way she can't fight.

It's very curious how two people -- including one who has martial arts training -- were subdued.

This is the first time I've commented here, and I'm not following the case as closely as many of you are, but he was her HUSBAND, whom she trusted. And she also presumably trusted the au pair. I would assume she was completely shocked by whatever was transpiring and never in a million years thought they were going to hurt her. They probably didn't have to subdue her. That, to me, is part of what's so awful to think about for her.

The shooting and stabbing could take place in a tight sequence and would take mere minutes.

No 911 calls from the neighbors have ever been disclosed/reported. Otherwise agree with you but they don't seem to have heard.

Maybe BB used silencers on the weapons.

Things can move fast, think of the Robert Wone case, there they drugged him, stabbed him to death, drained most of his blood somehow, cleaned up and showered in a matter of something like 30 min. Here there was no need to clean, blood would be expected if the "bad guy" and stabbed and "hero hubby" rendered aid. All could have gone down in 20 min including the what, 13 during which the calls happened?

It is extremely likely he slipped sleeping pills into her drink, are you unaware of the current trial in France? The victim's daughter has set up a foundation to publicize how common this is. Control over the victims/variables was key to the success of the plan. Drugged CB and 2 guns on JR. JR ambushed and shot before CB stabbed by BB with the knife JR was told to bring that they got from his backpack. Total control. Even if she was tied up there would have been struggle marks. There were not. She was chemically restrained in all likelihood. Joe was backed into a corner and on his knees when shot by 2 people. Not curious at all. Tragic.

If she was only restrained for 5 min, she might not have been struggling with the restraints before she was slashed. We don't know if she was restrained.

To the PPs who keep suggesting that CB was killed before JR arrived -- the police say that is NOT the case.

The police say that CB was killed very soon after JR was shot.

Presumably, the police know where CB was when she was killed because they have said she was moved. So, the experts must have deduced where she was initially.

We are going to learn a lot in November if JM goes to trial.

My heart breaks for CB and the total SHOCK she must have gone through that morning. Same for JR. What terror and betrayal.

Nah, he could have walked away like his own father did but he wanted all of the $ and the control. He had spoke of erasing CB from his life to a long before affair partner.

JPM would be wise to cut her loses, minimize her sentence, get deported and start over. There is no future for her in VA and that reality must be sinking in. Tess paying for her lawyer is quite diabolical. Threatening her when it is all recorded is as nuts as BB, they really do not think rules apply to them and they can do whatever they want.
