Diet, Nutrition & Weight Loss
ita. |
I would agree somewhat. In the US, capitalism is King. Companies make money off of human weakness to pick tasty (high calorie) food with the least amount of effort. There is a huge demand for fast food, convenience food, and over sized portions (want my money’s worth!). But we have choices. And most often, picking heathy foods, preparing them, and saying no to the junk takes more effort. Which is why being a heathy weight IS an accomplishment |
I learned a lot about nutrition and correct portion sizes when I had to do a gestational diabetes diet during my first pregnancy. I had no idea portion sizes were so much smaller than I thought--protein = deck of cards, pasta/rice = one measured cup, etc. When I am disciplined about it and follow those rules, I lose weight quickly. But I am hungry all the time while my body adjusts, and that is a challenge. I personally don't lose weight unless I feel a little hungry after meals. Not starving, but not 100% satiated either. More like 80-90%. I know I will gain weight if I eat until I feel stuffed. |
Healthy mind lives in a healthy body. A food addict is only concerned about the next meal. Their thoughts are only🍕🍔🍟🌭🍿🥓🥨🥯🥐🍗🍗🥩🥫🧀 |
Me too. The amount of food in GD was shockingly tiny. It felt like something you would serve a toddler. I basically took to eating a bowl of steamed leafy green veggies before my regular GD meals because I needed more. Yes, you are hungry for the first 3-4 days but after that your body adjusts. However, if you overeat even once then your body falls back into eating more. You have to be careful about eating less. Another good trick (if not pregnant) is to have a glassful of water with 1/4 tsp of Inulin, 30 minutes before lunch and dinner. It will give you the fiber and satiety. This is a very easy trick for almost effortless weight loss. |
I do have to say that I was wondering how long before the pretense of "I don't care, I am nice to all people..." will disappear. Dcum does not disappoint. Not only are overweight people unhealthy, but they also have sick minds! They are food addicts only concerned about their next meal. Not a single other thought in those sick minds! |
Sort of like the sick minded eating disordered skinny people you posted about? |

You seem so pleasant. You almost have me convinced that you are morally superior to those other people you hate and judge so harshly. Almost. |

Exactly. The hypocrisy is laughable. |
Ha, ha. Your starved brains can't comprehend when you are actually ripping yourself apart! LOL! |

Honestly, as a person who has been thin my whole life, I think the desirability of thinness is declining. I’ve never worked to be thin, it’s just how my body is. I used to get a lot of compliments on my body back in the 90s and early 00s. Unearned, but I viewed it like getting a compliment on your natural hair color or good bone structure.
But I noticed about 10-15 years ago people were less likely to compliment than to say something backhanded (“ugh, you’re so skinny, I hate you”). And then that turned into concern trolling, people suggesting that being thin was embarrassing, evidence of an eating disorder, or unsexy/unattractive. I know it’s still considered ideal by a lot of UMC white women, but I think many others have rejected it as an unattainable or unhealthy goal. I definitely don’t feel superior to others. I don’t even feel like clothes look better on my body, even though I used to feel most fashions were sort of meant for my body shape. Anyway, I can see why people resent thinness but I actually feel it’s in its way out. |
Your bizarre illogical posts are troubling. |
I think therapy will be good for you. There is a lot to unpack here and you seem very angry and judged. I suspect that in your case not every thing is related to your weight. If you are fat or overweight, rest assured that you get no abuse or bad service from me. If you are my paying customer or client in any way, I will not discriminate while providing you with goods and services just because of your weight, age, race, gender, religion, national origin, immigration status, disability, sexual preference, economic status, education level and beauty. I am also sure that most people are treating you with the politeness and civility in public that they extend to others. What they think about your weight in their own heads is really none of your business. If you go down that path you will drive yourself crazy. |
