Don't bother. The sick weirdos on this thread won't believe you and you'll bring back the creepy Disney Word fat doctor fetishist.

Are you a part of the obese pod that vacations in Disney with your obese spouse and obese couple friends? If not, why do you care?

Nobody should care about the opinion of sick obsessed stalkers like the Disney World PP. It's good to point out when the person talking on DCUM is a creepy fetishist. I always appreciate the heads up from other posters.

Huh? Stalkers? Fetish? What are you talking about? Not the Disney World PP, but I've been and there does seem to be a large disproportionate amount of overweight people that flock to Disney. There may be some correlation..but I don't know.

You are missing the background context. There is a thin PP who posts in many threads about weight on DCUM about a specific group of people that she knows who go to Disney World, who are doctors and other professionals, who take photos of food in a way the PP disapproves, who are obese, at least two of them are married to each other, who order cocktails that the PP disapproves of, etc. The details are bizarrely specific and it's obvious from PPs posting about them that she monitors these people she knows very, very closely. The way that PP talks about them is disturbing; she sounds like a stalker. I think she may be one of those sick fetishists who get off on watching people (especially overweight people) eat.

There’s a fetish for watching overweight people eat? Never heard of that one. Seems gross to me actually.

Yeah, it's a sick thing. People who are super obese in particular are sometimes targeted by abusers who pretend to be friends but who are actually abusive fetishists. It's horrific given that many super obese people have a history of sexual abuse (obesity and in particular super obesity is strongly correlated with childhood sex abuse victimization). It's something that is known in the eating disorder treatment world.

I think the obsessive PP may be one of them. It's gross and disturbing.

You are wildly reaching..

Sure, it's perfectly normal to obsess like that PP does to the point where she repeatedly describes these people in intricate detail in multiple DCUM threads.

You are probably a weirdo too. I mean there are obviously a lot of you in these threads.

The crazy talk about people that have fetishes is emblematic of how ludicrous the responses are in this thread that focus entirely on extremely narrow exceptions and circumstances.

Unhealthy weight in the vast overwhelming majority of adults, particularly in the US, is because of poor life decisions. It’s that simple. No amount of studying and excuses is going to make up for it. Nor is talking about hyper narrow genetic disorders or fetishes.

Many of you are projecting your anger onto DCUM. Be mad at the bathroom scale. Look up and be mad at the mirror. Decide if your anger compels you to make different choices. If not shut up and live with your body, which you made.

This is definitely good advice for the raging creepers on this thread.

Let's admit that also has a black/brown people fat vs. white people skinny connotation. And I would like to see some numbers to back that up before I believe it. I have a feeling that there are just as big a percentage of white people in a comfortable economic bracket who are overweight. These people don't have the excuse of not having access to healthy foods or the time to cook them.

Stop it.

My clothes look great, my face looks younger and prettier, I have beautiful swanlike neck now and I get admiring looks from everyone around me. Most importantly I feel like a winner.

Being fat is not just about your body being larger because that honestly would not look bad. What is so terrible about being obese is that people become misshapen and grotesque. They don't look human instead they look like a gluttonous anthropomorphized pig. There is nothing attractive about a fat person. Nothing.

You are horrible.

The only creepy people in this thread are the weirdos that keep bringing up whacky fetishes and insanely narrow genetic disorders to explain away reality. Double extra ludicrous points for wealthy-splaining how it’s impossible to eat healthy unless you are the in top 10 percent of income earners, but even then it’s impossible because agribusiness creeps into your house and force feeds you cheesecake and sugar.

+1 and in the DMV demographic I think that’s usually the case. And generally the whole family fits the same weight profile because it’s rooted in unhealthy habits. And that’s certainly what I see in my own extended family, which is not poor, overworked, or traumatized in any way. But in areas with higher rates of generational poverty, food deserts, and trauma, I do think it can be far more complex.

Yes. I agree. But heathy diet and lifestyle can and will over ride genetic predisposition for obesity and environmental factors. No one has to be obese or morbidly obese.

Around 30+ years ago we had nowhere near the level of obesity in this country. You can study that all day long. The same garbage was available in terms of food choices. Yet here we are.

Tell us again about some ultra narrow genetic disorder to somehow explain that enigma. HINT: It’s not an enigma. People eat piles of garbage and don’t move enough. This happens across all incomes and ethnicities.
