Where is she from? I'm 20 min away from Pepperdine. She will love it!

Scottsdale, AZ.
Our biggest worry is the CA schools will not be open and if instruction is online she would rather go to ASU and save the $$
Right now she is leaning Baylor but we shall see. Still waiting on a few more.

I'm the PP near Pepperdine. I think CA will be open, PP. Just waiting on the vaccines which are happening now with medical personnel, then down the line. Has she ever visited it?

No visit, they would not even let us walk onto campus. We wanted to drive out and let her walk around Pepperdine and LMU but that is prohibited.

To another PP who wonders why people outside the region post here, it's because DC is such a transient population and once on DCUM, it's hard to give up. Also, I've learned so much from DCUM, and I like to think I've given back, as well.

Scottsdale PP, I'm sorry you could not see the campus. You've probably already done this, but go to youtube and type Pepperdine by drone

Why are people from Malibu and Scottsdale posting on a DC list serv?

I've lived in Scottsdale for 3 years. Prior to that, I was born at Sibley hospital. Grew up in NW DC, attended American Univ and the Univ. of Maryland. Then I got married and lived in Bethesda for 27 years. My kids went to DeChantal, my son graduated from St. Anselm's Abbey and my youngest is now a senior in High school here in Scottsdale. I probably have more DCUM cred than you.

It's no longer just a list serv. It's a website.

Jesus Christ. How does any studying get done there? And are the chix as attractive as the campus and setting?

Would you mind sharing stats? My DC was rejected with a 3.1 weighted and a 1400 SAT. Small private HS.

At a large FCPS HS, 3.9 weighted, 1390 SAT, couple of APs, varsity sports and a couple of well rounded ECs (but not extensive at all). Hoping for merit money.

Nice! Congrats. My first had a fantastic four years there. I miss the campus and city very much.

My kid got into U of R too, so happy. It seems like there were so many deferrals on Reddit and CC.

DC- calm kid- starting to get frazzled at the announcements regarding increased applications to colleges this year. Many, many in the 30-50% increase range. Colgate apps increased 100%.

Crazy!!

Brown total applications up 26%
