I’m not sure this is true. Someone else posted that they work for a news outlet and saw the unedited video and that Wendy “fought like hell”. I don’t think you can stab someone 7 times in 1.5 seconds as they are running past you.

Would anyone mind if cops were "unofficially" beat the shit out guys like Crawford before he did something like the murder of the jogger... I'm sure he had "run-ins" with the police before he murdered.

Another guy who could have been paid a visit by police and roughed up a little was the mass shooter who shot up the newspaper office in Annapolis. I think he was on the radar of the police long before the shooting. The shooter was harassing a girl and the cops were notified. I think they did pay him a visit to tell him to stand down, but maybe a couple of baton strikes to the gut could have cooled him down and caused him to move on.

This is one of the saddest stories. I hate it when everyone tries to tell us what she could have done differently to save herself. It is literally a fear that the majority of us have...being killed in a volent way and knowing that we could have been her and ended the same way.

I heard she is being buried in her wedding dress. How sad and I feel for her family!

I doubt that considering she just got engaged a week before her death.

If a gun isn't effective at stopping someone with a knife or any other type of physical attack, then why does every police officer in the country carry a gun?

Wendy was attacked without warning. She could have had a machine gun locked and loaded and the outcome would have been the same. Even armed cops get blindsided and killed regularly. A gun doesn't make you bullet proof or knife proof.

But it DOES give you an opportunity to fight back. A very good one.
