Intel - an insider at Intuit discusses its takeover by Indian H-1Bs, presenting a MAJOR data security risk given that millions of Americans trust Intuit with their tax and financial information every year.

As he puts it, Intuit is nothing but "teams of all Indians," all of whom have access to Americans' financial information "with no audit trail." He states that Intuit's Indian employees are "unskilled" and "openly discriminate against non-Indian people."

Attached is a a picture of "a typical engineering team" at Intuit's facility in Mountain View, California. The insider states that some of the people in the photo look similar because they are cousins: "[o]ne of them gets in and then they find a way to convince Intuit to hire more people and bring over their cousin or nephew or sibling." The Indians run a scam where they convince Intuit to hire more Indians by claiming that "things are very complicated" when in fact the Indians are incompetent and cannot solve problems that a much smaller American team could do easily.

Ironically, Johnson Congress created new economic barriers to equality within a month of passing landmark civil rights legislation. But what once could be forgiven as a costly but honest miscalculation must now be acknowledged as a willful refusal to manage immigration in the national interest. Despite the temporary improvements at the border over the last few months, mass legal immigration continues at levels well beyond what federal commissions have recommended or Americans voted for. It’s easy for Congress to break its promises, and so very very hard to keep them.

“The bill will not flood our cities with immigrants. It will not upset the ethnic mix of our society. It will not relax the standards of admission.”
--Ted Kennedy, 1965 Immigration Bill (Hart-Celler)

where are the future Democratic leaders that will make Democrats the party of labor again?????

My view of the "Civil Rights" era has changed quite a bit recently. My current view(don't confuse this with any views you may have), is that the Democrats were intentionally fragmenting the working classes (civil rights) giving nominal short term workers protections. EG a minimum wage not indexed to inflation. In exchange for long-term structural inequities.

🤯 Mind blown- interesting side-thread. I hope you start an O/T on this. (I don't care about "Democrats" as party as fluctuated over the years but this is an interesting objective for any political party...)

Yeah, if you think about LBJ. Within roughly 15 months, President Lyndon B. Johnson signed both:

Civil Rights Act of 1964 — signed July 2, 1964
*Outlawed segregation in public places.
*Banned employment discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, or national origin.
*One of the cornerstone achievements of the Civil Rights Movement.

Immigration and Nationality Act of 1965 (Hart–Celler Act) — signed October 3, 1965
*Abolished the 1924 national-origins quota system.
*Established a new immigration policy emphasizing family reunification and skilled immigrants.
*Fundamentally reshaped U.S. demographics over subsequent decades.

CNBC: "Announced corporate job cuts surging past 1 million so far this year, with 153,000 new layoffs just in October according to Challenger. That is the worst October since 2003."

and yet our own government helps companies replace US citizens with cheap foreign labor via H1B, OPT, L1, H4EAD etc.

when will Democrats start helping US citizens before immigrants?

IBM now has more workers in India than in America

The company that was once a symbol of American power has cut back its US-based workforce and now roughly a third of its employees are based in India.

But as major tech employers have recently made mass job cuts, some criticize these companies for continuing to aggressively pursue H1-B visas workers (applications for the program reached a record high in 2023, which shows interest but also raised fraud concerns.)

“The H-1B program has many flaws that have become especially evident in light of recent mass layoffs in the tech sector,” wrote researchers from the Economic Policy Institute, a pro-labor think tank. “Instead of being used to fill genuine labor shortages in skilled occupations without negatively impacting U.S. workers’ wages and working conditions, the latest data show that the H-1B’s biggest users are companies that have laid off tens of thousands of workers in 2022 and the first quarter of 2023.”

The authors mentioned IBM, which cut 3,900 jobs early last year. The company said it would keep hiring in “higher growth” divisions.

IBM’s CEO is Indian. So, are you saying he is basically moving IBM to India now?

DP. America has no shortage of brains. We merely have a shortage of people willing to work like slaves for 60k.

This is the main point.

When will Republicans stop pushing for unregulated capitalism at the expense of the American middle and lower classes? This what you get when your one and only priority is corporate profits. Trump and his wealthy cronies won't do anything to help.

This doesn't make any sense. So, you think it's OK to eviscerate the middle class with H-1b's? When didn't Democrats give the globalist corporations only everything they ever wanted. When did Obama or Biden do anything about class stratification. Go get a platform that makes sense, then $-post.

I wasn't aware that the Dems were in power right now.

The $100K isn't going to do a damn thing for you or most Americans. The companies will just offshore the jobs.

^PP is right. Unregulated capitalism leads corporations to stick to the American workers. Most civilized countries have a cap on executive pay; we don't. The gap is getting larger.

I don't condone violence but think about what happened to the UHC CEO who was murdered. These people make a sh(t ton of money while we the masses suffer -- high healthcare costs, which causes people to lose health insurance or having to choose between eating and medical care. That's capitalism. That's what Rs want.

It's the Dems who want to tax corporations and the rich more to help the middle class while Trump gives $20billion to a foreign country, applies tariffs which causes prices to rise, and hasn't done a damn thing else for the middle class.

Look at the election results yesterday. Perfect example of how people realize that the Rs aren't doing a damn thing for the middle class.

look, dont you get it by now?

We KNOW republicans are evil. no argument. They have NEVER been the party of the working class.

But what happened that Democrats have abandoned US workers. Democrats support and expand H1B, OPT, L1, H4EAD etc. They have NEVER pushed to repeal these worker replacement visas.

why? Why has the party of labor abandoned labor??

What a nonsense comment. Simply not true. But oh so pat to state H1B are "hard workers" but Americans are not.

Those H1B high tech workers are not earning $60K, by the way. They're earning $200K.

Oh, where'd you get that one, been hanging out down in the corporate HR department a little too much.

Again why are you giving them everything they want. Do you think corporations are fighting tooth and nail for those H-1Bs because they can just offshore them instead? There must be a cost.

I just don't think this sort of thinking is worthy of a vote.
