All these MAGA business owners could put their money where their mouths are by stopping H1B hiring and using eVerify. So the question is why aren’t they doing that?

I’m a pro labor Dem and I’ll about stopping the flow of H1B. I want my kids to be able to get jobs.

But let’s be honest about what things are going to look like for us when the population flips and our old exceeds our young. MAGA in rural America are just going to have to accept that they aren’t going to have doctors because no one wants to live and raise their families in third world conditions. They struggle to retain doctors now. It’s not going to get easier, even if we double the doctor supply overnight. Native born doctors will just take over the plum positions being vacated.

Forget nursing homes - it’s going to be dire indeed. If the care is available, it will be so expensive no one can afford it.

And tech are cheap and relentless. They’re already setting up shop in India, and other nations are actively incentivizing relocation. It’s only a matter of time before the high paying programmer jobs are gone for good, and what’s left is moved to Alabama for $15/hr.

In short, supply and demand in a global world is going to do its thing. There will be winners and a whole lot of losers. Wages don’t always go up with prices in a dying economy. So long as we all have our eyes open close the borders and we can buckle up for the ride.

He made the decision to pay the mafia bribe to the Trumps, cut thousand of Amazon jobs, cut Washington Post jobs, etc. Jazzy has been the CEO and President of Amazon Corporation since July 2021. Bezos sits on the BOD, but so does Jazzy and others.
