On the plus side, he's a more sympathetic character than George Floyd. But then again "random judges make immigration policy" is less catchy than "de-fund" the police. |
They did not follow the law. The issue at this point is how to fix it? Courts cannot order the President's foreign policy. Right now, DOJ is focused on protecting the President's authority rather than fixing this guy's incorrect deportation. So far it has been assumed that the government is paying El Salvador for his imprisonment, but this might not be the case. The payments are for Venezuelans. |
They said they would let him in, then detain him as an illegal immigrant and send him elsewhere. |
Go head and make the claim that people here legally or natural born citizens can be kindapped and shipped to a gulag without due process. It has already cost Trump 50 points with the hispanic vote |

The Supreme Court said if you can't keep deportees in jail for more than 90 days if you can't deport them. So instead of being in jail, they let him go six years ago. |
He will get a good photo op. Interesting that he's willing to go to El Salvador to stage a photo op in front of a prison holding a presumed gang member and illegal migrant. Yet, he refused to stand for Laken Riley's family. |
Boasberg finds probable cause to hold Trump administration in contempt for violating deportation order. https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/news/content/ar-AA1D2XPc?ocid=sapphireappshareBoasberg |
He is trying to get a constituent who was kidnapped, freed. He is standing up for the little guy against trump's authoritarianism. No matter how you slice it, it is good optics and good politics. |
The opinion is dam**ing. I'd post a link, but for some reason DCUM won't let me post a link to ecf.dcd.uscourts.gov |
Lets let a minor judge dictate foreign policy...lol
this another one of those 90/10 issues where liberals are the 10% supporting a criminal with ties to MS13 who likes to beat women and get arrested. Good luck with that strategy Cotton |
You just keep making up 💩 hoping people will look past the fact that Trump is kidnapping people and flying them to El Salvador. People understand that if it can happen to this guy it can happen to any of us. |
Listen, we get it, you are a fascist. Now you can go back to romancing your relatives while the people work this out. |
US officials abiding by the US Constitution and the federal laws of the United States is not foreign policy. And the federal laws of the United States say that disregarding a court order is contempt. Criminal contempt. And the Supreme Court has held numerous times that even if that order is subsequently invalidated on appeal, failure to comply in the interim is still contempt. But you knew all that. You just don't think that the rules we have played by for over 200 years apply anymore just because the Gelatinous Orange Blob you worship is in the Oval Office. |
