Your impedes my freedom, and my children’s freedom to grow up without anxiety about being shot to death in their classroom.
Of the two, their quality of life is MUCH more important than your stupid target practice or squirrel hunt!!!!!
Freedom from anxiety is not a thing. Self defense on the other hand is a self evident natural right.
Are you a bot? You keep babbling about "natural rights" when the rights that Americans have are enshrined in the constitution, and can be amended when society changes.
The constitution recognizes that we have natural rights that predate any government. The constitution does not grant us rights. The constitution establishes a government, and in doing so, explicitly imposes restrictions on the government to prevent it from curtailing these rights that we already had and that we still have even after creating this government.
Rights are not subject to the whims of the mob. The entire foundation of this country is based on this philosophical framework. It is utterly unique in world history and there is no plan B. That is why 2A rights (and 1A, and 3A, and…) are so passionately defended.
