Another day, another school shooting

JD Vance says school shootings are just a fact of life.

The shooter was obsessed with other shooters and he had only been at this school for two weeks. He barely knew these people.

Your impedes my freedom, and my children’s freedom to grow up without anxiety about being shot to death in their classroom.

Of the two, their quality of life is MUCH more important than your stupid target practice or squirrel hunt!!!!!

Freedom from anxiety is not a thing. Self defense on the other hand is a self evident natural right.

Are you a bot? You keep babbling about "natural rights" when the rights that Americans have are enshrined in the constitution, and can be amended when society changes.

The constitution recognizes that we have natural rights that predate any government. The constitution does not grant us rights. The constitution establishes a government, and in doing so, explicitly imposes restrictions on the government to prevent it from curtailing these rights that we already had and that we still have even after creating this government.

Rights are not subject to the whims of the mob. The entire foundation of this country is based on this philosophical framework. It is utterly unique in world history and there is no plan B. That is why 2A rights (and 1A, and 3A, and…) are so passionately defended.

Natural rights are as much a fairy tale as "god". there is no such thing. "natural rights" is just liberal speak for god.

Translation:
only the government should have guns, and rich people who hire private security. Government should have a monopoly on force, there is no way they would ever abuse their power or expand or become authoritarian, there is no history of the government ever lying to the citizens or acting against the interest of the citizen in a democracy so we shoudl all just ban and give up our guns and give the government the sole ability to use force.

Loving guns is a mental health issue. The people who want them the most are the last who should have them.

Nobody is saying that you don't have a natural right to cosplay or compensate for your small d!ck. We recognize that these are fundamental needs of yours. But it is perfectly within the rights of the government to put significant restrictions and rules in place.

Making this a school security problem is dismissing it. So no, they aren’t lying. Our schools don’t need better security; our society needs less guns and better parents.

The father should have done his due diligence and investigated what was on his sons computer and in his room.

They weren't *that* poor. Guns and ammo cost money.

+1. There is nothing natural about rights. They are entirely manufactured.

I'll take one known predator where I get a vote in how it uses its force over tens of millions of smaller predators who might materialize out of nowhere to end my life or the lives of my family at any moment.
