Matty and Taylor

I actually don't believe that they are "true love". It's like the dog that catches the car-- they didn't quite know what to do once they were both actually single and free to be together. It was much more exciting when it was a clandestine love affair, sending coded messages back and forth. When they finally got together it was a little too real for Matty. That's why it imploded so quickly. Public opinion was a convenient excuse.

Great way to put it. Matty's not going back and I don't blame him.

She is obviously hurting a lot, and she has really laid herself bare and put it all out there for him, but I just don't think he's as into her as she is to him

My theory is that they're playing breakup tag. Once he's done with Gabriette, she's done with Travis.

from loml:
"Who's gonna stop us from waltzing back into rekindled flames. If we know the steps anyway."

“you got somebody new” “i got someone too” “but i’m gonna get you back"

I’m giving it more than a 50% chance, and I think they’re a perfectly crazy hopeless romantic mess.

This album and last year’s breakup might be very masterful PR on her team’s behalf: show us how miserable Taylor was without Matty, how important he was to her, how much they loved and chased each other over the years, and once he is done with his next album and she is done touring, they might just get together in a different public opinion scenario. Many of her fans (myself included) actually feel bad now about the tragic ending to her love affair with Matty Healy, and I could see people accepting their relationship in the future.

She wrote that she will build him a fort on some planet where they can all understand it. I think TTPD was that “fort.”

Yes, I suspect for him he prefers being the more powerful part of a couple which is why he exclusively dates rather dim seeming very young models.

This is inaccurate. Matty Healy appears very intelligent and confident. He was in long-term relationships with Halsey and FKA Twigs.
Gabriette is probably smarter and more interesting than Travis Kelce, but regardless, they are both rebounds and simply serving a purpose.

Didn’t say he wasn’t intelligent and no part of it is inaccurate. I also can google and I see he dated Halsey for a hot second, then a possibly underage at the initial start model for four years, followed by many more instagram models, than FKA twigs and now back to the instagram models. I see no indication that gabriette is anything other than a goth groupie model with some cooking videos who will be over very soon career wise. Nobody wants to see a former 30 something model do cooking videos on instagram. His comments about dating someone like Taylor being emasculating seem to be the real issue here even if they were taken out of context. Being Taylor Swifts boyfriend would be a rough thing. Especially for someone with their own self described large ego and need for independent validation and recognition. It has nothing to do with his intellect.

It's not just that he doesn't want his entire identity reduced to "Taylor Swift's boyfriend" it's also that her fans are insane and would be monitoring and hassling his family, friends, bandmates, etc. Look at Kylie Kelce who wants nothing to do with the TS media circus but is now getting hassled in public because her husband's brother is dating TS.

I’m gonna get you back has 2 meanings.

She also turned the porch light off

Whether PR or not, it’s a narrative that is keeping people interested and hooked and that is $$$$ for TS.

+1. These two are one emotional phone call or romantic, groveling love song away from each other.

Thank you.
Tatty stans, please hear this…peter lost wendy. she doesn’t want him back. she doesn’t miss what they had. it was a manic phase.
They are not star crossed lovers. They are meant to be. They rekindled something that should have stayed buried. It ended in burning flames. Regardless of the sarahs and hannahs it was going to end messily one way or another. The chairman wrote her tortured poems, healed (i hope) and the story isn’t hers anymore.
