I hope you get caught taking your pants down to deface the streetery because there's an extra 10 seconds on your car ride, moron. |
it takes quite the jerk to pee where families eat because you don't like the effect of the seating on driving your vroom vroom fast. |
That’s why we need to get rid of the streetery AND return to traffic enforcement. Park in the no parking lane during rush hour—$100+ ticket. Three or more unpaid tickets — boot. |
| Streeteries should not be in the travel lanes of major arterial roads. |
Guess what! Because the streetery is there, it's not a travel lane anymore! |
Ah, but it is. You can’t park in the lane during rush hour. Bye, bye, reeking streetery. |
Good point! |
Who wants a Connecticut Ave streetpissoir? |
| If a homeless guy moved into the streetery we’d be stuck with it for perpetuity. |
|
The streatery was approved in violation of city guidelines and should not under any circumstances be extended.
Read the prohibitions for Travel Lane or Parking Lane Streateries. If the lane is a major arterial or if it becomes a travel lane at any other time of day it is disallowed. Where the actual F is the ANC for this area ? Does the public really need to oversee the every single submission this restaurant owner might make to try to get waivers to this highly rational policy ? Its insane. |
It's not a travel lane anymore, because there is a streetery there. You know, concrete barriers that aren't removable to save you 10 seconds on your daily rage commute. |
Such Trumpy logic. |
| Shame on the DDOT or whomever approved this. They need to be held accountable and NOT extend a streatery that was approved against the rules to begin with. |
Weak attempt at an insult but okay. |

I've never eaten at Rosemary's Bistro and have been stuck in traffic at this intersection a bunch since the pandemic while trying to drive to or from some kids' event or run an errand, as I live within a mile from there. But... I have to say, I can't bring myself to care whether they're blocking the street.
I don't think "I have been personally inconvenienced a few times" is a good basis to make public policy decisions, and I don't really see this as likely to cause major harm for anyone. So why not let it stay as is? |
