Woman missing after reporting seeing a toddler on the highway

Anonymous
This is wild as hell.

Some folks will be grateful that this board is anonymous, otherwise they’d be eating a ton of crow.

I hope she’s willing to talk one day. I need to know what happened.

Sure. I'm willing to eat crow, if I was wrong. If what you thought happened ends up the opposite, will you also eat crow here?

"Carlee planned to party with some friends over the weekend which included a new guy she met online. Carlee would eventually meet him on the side of the express way, ditched her vehicle as well as her belongings, got into a grey sedan with this mystery guy and ended up at the Red Roof partying with a group of people.

The Red Roof manager noticed Carlee as one of the people in the group and alerted the police. Carlee and the mystery man left the Red Roof soon after and a nearby doorbell camera spotted Carlee getting dropped off around the block from her home shortly before arriving back home. (Allegedly)

An alleged person who was with her posted a comment on a video stating that Carlee is going to state she had a mental breakdown and that she was wandering around for 2 days.

This is just what the streets are saying. Y’all think it’s true?"

This seems plausible. Obviously, there was no toddler, so she either hallucinated that or just made it up. Which is pretty messed up, so I hope she was having some kind of lapse in judgement.

It’s not “obvious” there was “no toddler”.

Uh yeah it is. Otherwise the police would still be looking for this wandering toddler. They obviously don’t believe there was a toddler wandering down the highway.

Unless you work for the Hoover police department, you’re guessing. It’s ok to admit you don’t know everything.

NP. This happens on ALL of these threads. People create these crazy narratives as if they have some special insight - mostly just to trash people. It's disgusting.

There’s no special insight being claimed. It’s just pretty obvious there was no toddler on the side of the road. Except apparently to you.

Be sure you figure it out, you online detective with no critical thinking skills.

NP. If you still think there was ever a toddler involved, you don’t get to question anyone else’s critical thinking skills.

I'm not the one speculating based on limited information.

Disgusting how some people are so quick to make up these false narratives about someone based on almost no real information.

Is it “disgusting” to infer that there was never a toddler on the side of the road based on the updated information and the fact that the police are not searching for the toddler in question, or are you just feeling salty about being wrong and digging in your heels?

I'm not wrong because I wasn't making up random BS about what happened.

It's disgusting to trash her. Especially when you don't have any details about what happened.

Do you really think she is going to tell her boyfriend she was boffing some other dude for two days?

Many people are just waiting to see what happens. We don't need to make up wild explanations and baselessly trash her.

I cannot believe people claiming that she would intentionally make this up. She is a 25 year old trying to get a nursing license, not a 16 year old. I don't know what happened, but if what she said was not true, I strongly believe it was due to a mental health issue/break rather than intentional falsehood.

Okay, sure. But you (or whomever I was responding to) is laying it flat out as "#teamshewasattacked #ialwaysbelievedher."

If you are wrong, are you going to eat crow, or you just gonna slink away and pretend like this never happened? Just want to know.

It’s not trashing her to say there was no toddler. What do you not understand about that?

Definitely. While I have never been certain about the details, I’ve never thought she staged this. I’ll admit if I’m wrong about that.

This is feeling more like the Sherry Papini case (or whatever her name was).

I imagine someone was waiting to pick her up in the neighborhood; I doubt she was on foot for 2 days. If her boyfriend’s story were true, police would be on a manhunt right now and not “giving her space.” She was not fighting for her life for 2 days.

These are her public Twitter posts, stripped of the retweets (just what she posted OC): https://twitter.com/search?q=(from%3Acarleeenichole)&src=typed_query&f=live

There are several tweets in the last month referencing men who cheat, and then there is a link to a woman telling a man how she would leave him if he cheated on her. "Let me tell you something, you cheat? I'm not even finna be on no rah-dah-dadalala, I'm going to be so player ... I'm going to literally leave in the middle of the night, like a thief in the night. I'm telling you, you gonna come home one day and think everything is g-dd-mn good, and my sh-t is gonna be gone. Youre never gonna be able to locate me." Starts 0:34/1:13

Man, that's eerie. That's from about 5 days before she disappeared.

It’s kind of telling isn’t it that the police aren’t out looking for the kidnapper or trying to get more info from her. They are just letting her reconnect with her family with no urgency. Doesn’t sound like a threat to the public…

How do you know they are not looking? Police often say no public danger when they are not looking. They have not said that here.

Sure it is. You have no facts.
