Got to hand it to Madison - kept getting better and better as year went on. They just waited for other contenders to have off night (Robo, LB, Yorktown) and took care of their own business each time (incl today vs Battlefield). Well coached and play as a team. Congrats! Here’s to next season!

Took a lot of heat for the week 8 rankings moving Madison to #4, but I still think they were the most improved team over the course of the season. Hats off to the Warhawks. They return a lot of players (all three attack, couple of middies, and LSM) and will be tough again next season.

Definitely recognize how much effort it must have taken each week and wanted to express appreciation. Was great to kick around public school HS lacrosse in such a level headed type forum. Made the season more interesting and developed appreciation for other 6A/B/C/D teams that may not have had.

Well done and sincere thanks - and look forward to either Season Wrap-up/Final Rankings OR Week 1 Unofficial Rankings for Spring 2023!

Appreciate that. The pay stinks but it has been been fun. I've enjoyed the thoughtful and largely polite discussions on the thread. Probably will do a final ranking but it gets hard during playoffs as teams get eliminated. Maybe a preseason rankings early next spring with crowd sourced input on key players returning and tough departures to replace.

Researchers are hard at work. Anyone have insights on the Patriot team this season? Looks like they graduated a ton of good players, with a few good players returning, but maybe down a bit this year?

Without the Rutgers committ/PVI transfer they had last season, I do not think they are a contender. I think they will be competitive with Champe and maybe a notch below Freedom SR. They will not compete with Battlefield who brings back most of what they had last season.
