She doesn't answer to anyone right now. Harry is still in England. So she'd free to do whatever she wants.

Umm no she couldn’t. See above. Also look up Anne Sacoolas and the pack of reporters who wait outside Kensington Palace. If you think a foreign driver from opposite roads could handle all that I suggest you tell Sacoolas (who didn’t have flashing lights in her face) to go back and face the British courts.

She was always going to be a public figure.

The difference is now she doesn’t have to deal with “news” articles calling her a primate and her baby a chimpanzee.

For nearly a decade, was photographed all the time as an actress, then she was photographed all the time as a princess, nobody thought moving back to Canada would result in less media coverage. Though, I will say she looks really happy to be far from the British press. Good for her and her family!

I posted the Springsteen thread! Bruce obviously did not keep HIMSELF out of the media during that time. He was working as a musician very much in the public eye. By planning to move Archie to Canada out of the public eye (especially to a rural estate) Meghan and Harry are very much following that example. And just like the Springsteens their jobs are in the public eye, so you can assume that will continue.

Meghan didn’t and with all the furor around her she never got to either - probably had to rely on someone else 24/7 which sounds like a prison to me.

Having a driver(s) on call 24/7 sounds like freaking HEAVEN to me. I would gladly never drive again.

The simple immediate answer is denying access to the British press and no longer participating in the ROTA system.

Future plans involve creating their own foundation (which they couldn’t do before) and working to generate an income (which they couldn’t do before.)

Those are the big differences.
