Husband checking out nanny - concerned?

Anonymous
This may be the wrong forum, not sure. My husband and I have a pretty great marriage and just welcomed a baby girl. My husband and I are interviewing nannies and we found a great girl. She is young and fairly attractive. The only worry and hesitation is my husband. While greeting and then saying goodbye, he checked her out, looking her up and down. This was right in front of me, mere inches away. I may be overreacting but I am assuming her find her attractive? This makes me concerned to hire her as I'd rather not have a woman on my home that my husband finds attractive.

I'd like to note that my husband was the one who took the lead on searching for nannies. Is it possible he only chose attractive women or not? What should I do about this? He wants to hire her.

Why didn't you call him out on it once the candidate left?

Take over the hiring process and hire a homely nanny. Or step it up in the bedroom.

I blew it off until I talked to my sister about it. She says it was a red flag.

This is a bad sign of things to come in your marriage.

If it were my DH no I would not be worried. I know when he finds someone attractive and talk about it. We normally bring the fantacy into the bedroom and it makes for a good time.

However, I'm not so sure you have thag level of openness. ..so maybe in your relationship its an issue for concern.

Regardless, I would have instantly called DH out the second the door closed on the nanny. Not sure why you didn't.

If you don't trust your DH you have much more to worry about than the nanny. The nanny probably would not want his old ass, bit the women at work might be another case.

Hire an unattractive nanny. You don't need the extra worry with a new baby.

Do not hire this nanny. Even if your DH is trustworthy you will always be second guessing and wondering.

I wouldn't be concerned with him checking her out. He has eyes and so do you. You even said she is attractive so why be concerned with him looking? We can't tell you if he is only trying to hire attractive women. That's for you to decide, we don't know the women.

not necessarily, but your husband sounds like a twit if he is that obvious...

It was very inappropriate to the nanny for him to look her up and down. That is so wrong of him, even before considering that he's married.

I imagine your husband does this in front of you in public, and often.

I'm saying this is a troll post.

Personally, I would just hire a different nanny. You will be worried enough going back to work and leaving your first baby at home (this passes though, I promise!) so you might as well feel 100% good about the nanny in every way.
