US has no good options in Ukraine

So the suffering of other species is a useful toolto shape public opinion, because the media has no compunction to show their charred corpses. And from then to imagining what a human corpse looks like... it's but a short leap.

What? Media did everything they could and then some when it came to scaring the living shit out of us all. Why do you think so many people believe this virus is a death sentence or will lead to a certain disability? And did you forget the fake videos from China with people dropping dead on the street? Did you really believe the footage of bodies piling up in the doorways was just hidden away from you and your immediate neighborhood was spared the plague? And this war in Ukraine already has it fair share of fake photos and videos too. Some people think it's 100s of thousands of civilians dying there, so whatever it shown is definitely working.

It's just you.

No, it's not.

Well then it's the two of you. Millions and millions are very concerned.

Russia is losing this war. Seems like a good option.

They certainly lost the war of public opinion. How long will the world remember, who knows.

This is so horrible:

While killing horses is bad, I think killing innocent Ukrainian people is worse.

As an equestrian who knows that a burning barn is a horrifying thing, I agree with you.

Best option for the US is to let Europe handle it.

This could have been avoided had Biden kept sanctions on as Zelensky had asked. Zelensky even said that himself.

But this is what happens when you have terrible leadership that fails at every level.

So at this point we should focus domestically, get our energy production going, work on stabilizing Mexico and work with Canada and Mexico to produce more energy, food and manufacturing. I trust those two countries more than I'd trust Asia or Europe. And since Europe likes to destroy itself every 40-50 years go ahead and let them. At least this time it's not the Germans causing problems...or the French, Spanish, Brits...for the first time in history.

COVID killed over one million Americans. That is a fact. Unlike the series of red herrings in your post.

Ok, make up your mind. You said that media didn't scare us enough, but you sound pretty scared and concerned and throwing the total death toll in my face, even though you technically cannot confirm any statistics or accuracy of data yourself, you just have to trust what you hear

What I said isn't "series of red herrings", it's purely my observations, because this is all I can confirm. I invite you to do the same. Look around you, remember how things were in the height of the pandemic, how many people around you died, people you personally know. remember how many ambulances you used to hear on an average day during the height of transmission/mortality in your area. Remember how overwhelmed or not the local hospitals were where you live. Then compare this to all the other years, how many people you know or heard of died of things like cancer, heart attacks, aneurisms, strokes, accidents, etc. Based on what you observed, do you think media did a poor coverage of the horrible impact of this pandemic? Do you think they didn't show you enough dead bodies piled in the doorways or are you having an issue with you not seeing enough dead bodies piling up where you live?

to go back to the actual topic discussed (I wasn't the one bringing Covid, you did) you are annoyed that media isn't showing enough gruesome footage of killed civilians. Why? Is it because you believe that there is mass genocide going there and you are unhappy others are not buying into it?

The media could have done a lot more with a lot of even harder truths. My niece was a COVID nurse on contract to FEMA working hospitals in Texas. The amount of death and suffering she had to deal with was horrific. Yes, a million Americans died. Yet people like the PP are still walking around in a clueless daze as if it was "the cold."

So, yesterday Biden actually claimed that the sanctions the US was threatening Russia with were not intended as a deterrent.

WHAT?

He is gaslighting the American people.

If they were deterrent, they would have been imposed before the invasion.
