US has no good options in Ukraine

Hold onto your hats folks, expect pipeline crashes, power grid crashes and traffic system crashes. This administration hasn’t done anything to protect these systems and they’re going to hit them hard.

That's a statement that came out of the White House, what's to LOL about?

I also don't think people understand how these things progress. The longer the destructive rhetoric goes on in Russia (i.e. nuclear on the table) the more it becomes normalized.

This is hard to believe for many Western leaders and westerners, but Putin absolutely believes his own propaganda, and the chances increase each day that the sane people around him start believing it too.

Oh so we are to believe a media outlet that says Trump won the election? Lol

The cruelty is the point. Pregnant women, children, an elderly Holocaust survivor, horses - it's like every being you feel should be given extra care in this world, is tortured by these monsters.

Looks like the de-Nazification is going really well. First the Holocaust survivor, now this…

While killing horses is bad, I think killing innocent Ukrainian people is worse.

I do not think so. I live within 3 miles of the pentagon and while many have already started leaving for vacation homes or family out of the area we are prepared for where this goes. And we are leaving/changing schools for our kids - not trivial as we are aware of a real fight to come. Others making their own plans.

Is this for real? Are people making these changes due to perceived nuclear threat or what?
I live in an outlying suburb which I’m sure would be vaporized in case of nuclear bomb, but have not altered my daily routine. I follow the news so don’t live in a vacuum, but just do not feel the threat level is that high. Am I deceiving myself?

Where I live in SW DC, I'm within 6500 feet of the Pentagon, White House and Capitol. I'd be vaporized. I believe there may be a very real risk, but don't care.

Personally, that's a pro to living in the beltway. No worries about survivaql and I don't want to survive that. Now, grid-down, I do want to survive.

Just like during Covid, when the media decided to be "respectful" (aka scared of lawsuits and prudish) and not show devastating and harrowing scenes of deaths in hospitals, contributing to a false sense of security among certain segments of the population, so too are gobs of exploded or burnt human corpses in Ukraine not shown on TV.

So the suffering of other species is a useful toolto shape public opinion, because the media has no compunction to show their charred corpses. And from then to imagining what a human corpse looks like... it's but a short leap.

We all know that Russia is corrupt AF , but so is Ukraine. Getting involved in this entire region and these borders is like stepping into a pile of poo.

You are kidding, right? If you cannot tell the difference between the epic scale delusions and corrupt of the Russians and the typical problems any human society has in Ukraine, then perhaps you need to see a psychiatrist.

Or just call yourself a Republican. Remind me where those Senators were on July 4 again? And why?

And how, when Trump was nominated, the only change to the GOP platform was support for Ukraine.
