DA vs ECNL vs everything else

Parents bring their kids to FCV because they want to win and care most about the scoreboard. They think winning soccer games at U14 means their money is well spent.

If you want the best college recruiting go to Bethesda or BRYC. If you wanted to play with the best you go to WS. They have the best players at the GNT level - there is no question there. They give you access to pro coaches. The coaches run circles around FCV coaches. Those guys are amateurs (I mean guys literally - female coaches won't work there).

There is so much wrong with this post I don't even know where to start. Please go do some research before you spout here.

Ok let's go. The two best area players are Jordan Canniff and Gabby Robinson. Both are WS. Name two better at FCV...you can't. The best play at WS.

Jordan Canniff is the #1 player in the nation for the class of 2020. Nobody else is even close. At age 16 the girl has over 10 caps in International play for US Soccer GNT and she has a good shot of making the WNT in a few years.

And... they are the best because of 1 year of training under WS staff . ? Is that what you're going to tell me?
Honestly, who cares who had the golden child? BRYC produced Mia Hamm, does that make BRYC the winner?

They are best players. So don’t talk about playing with the best at FCV. Do you your research before coming here to spout off.

These back and forths are silly. WS did not make any of tthese players in the past year. The only reason they are there is because GNT probably mandates that they do so.

Most of us are focused on which club or league is best for the deveopments of DD.

Let's ask the board genius, AKA FCV hater, who the best coaches for girls development are in the DC Metro area. Come on, share your brilliance.

If the GNT mandates that the girls train at Spirit what does that say about Spirit?

The GNT does not mandate a player join any club. Period. In fact, they don't even mandate DA. It is possible they put pressure. But the fact that there are GNT players not in the DA answers that bizarre line of thinking.

I would put Caniff and the Morris sisters as 1-2-3 in the area

You don’t want my brilliance. And you don’t care about coaches. You are willing to put up with coaches like Dax and Gus that yell at and abuse your DD. If you cared about coaches you would not be an FCV fanboy.

So I guess FCV parents cannot put forth any candidates for the best players? So it’s agreed the best play for WS.

Given the TD’s reputation (sorry but I’ll get in trouble for saying his name even though everybody knows it), I expected more from BRYC but I’ve been very unimpressed. Unless you’re one of his favorites, and it’s very clear who is, then expect VERY little support. From talking to other parents, none of the coaches are much help either.

And for anyone who says my expectations were too high, maybe they were, but comparing our experience to what I’ve heard from friends who have kids are other top level clubs, BRYC is not doing their job.

GR is not even the best player on her team and probably not even top two. Just in her age group and w/I naming names, there are also better players at FCV (PSU), McLean (Georgetown), Richmond (South Car.) and Bethesda (Clemson).

And for the record, i think FCV sucks.

I hope you come check WS out. It may surprise you. Whatever you do though, don't stay there. It's never going to change.
