So, now that Trump has been impeached, he cannot be pardoned for any of the crimes associated with the impeachment. For the GOP who have been saying "there are no crimes" - uh, yes there are. You just have to be literate to read the articles of impeachment.

There is a reason Nixon resigned, so he could be pardoned. Trump was too vain. It will come back to haunt him.

Agree, it was very moving, and made the Republicans sound twice as shrill as they had sounded before. They were unbearable to hear, much less listen to.

Then Trump is a moron (well, I guess we knew that already) because that bar is higher than what Trump was impeached for. Like the PP said, that was more of a policy disagreement, not being a traitor to the country and shaking down a foreign leader for personal gain.

I love that the House is pulling a “McConnell” and now will sit on the impeachment and not send it to the Senate because there is no guarantee McConnell won’t do a fair trial.

That is wishful thinking on the part of liberals like yourselves. Impeachment is meaningless unless it has real repercussions, and it doesn’t seem to, as his poll numbers are climbing. He’ll stay in office, and probably win re-election. You see liberals are very into how others see them. Conservatives are more into what they can accomplish. And Trump accomplished a lot: he’s flooded the courts with conservative judges, unified the Republican Party, brought the stock market to record highs, is getting the wall built, helped get Brexit voted in, and has put people back to work. You have a word in a history book.
