War with Iran

Listening the Morning Joe today. They said Iran continues to hit other countries in the region. No mention of the US and Israel bombing Iran.

DUBAI, March 11 (Reuters) - Three vessels have been hit by unknown projectiles in the Strait of Hormuz, maritime security and risk firms said on Wednesday, bringing the number of ships struck in the region since the Iran conflict began to at least 14.

Can you even imagine how outraged Republicans would be right now if Kamala Harris started this war?

Who goes to war and requests a ceasefire a week later?

Who goes to war without ammo?

Who goes to war because another president said so?

Somehow we have spent trillions of dollars on our military and yet....

(and blaming Biden/Ukraine is a fools game...we were SELLING them expiring armaments that had to be replaced anyhow)

A single Patriot interceptor costs $4 million. Iran has about 80,000 drones that cost about $30,000 each. The math isn't mathing favorably for the US. Drone warfare has changed everything. The fact that the US is running out of interceptors on Day 4 demonstrates once again that Trump/Rubio/Hegseth had zero plan for this war.

Wonder how many days until we’re out of interceptors. It seems like the large majority of Iranian drones and missiles have been taken down so far. What starts happening when almost all of them get through?

Iran is going to keep going after the gulf states. They are already running out of interceptors and the US is refusing to give them more. Those countries have significant pull with Trump and destroying their oil and gas infrastructure will cause worldwide economic damage.

https://www.middleeasteye.net/news/us-stonewalling-requests-gulf-states-replenish-interceptors-sources-say

I don't think the US have any more to give. Most were provided to Israel and the others are currently in use. There have been reports to see who would run out first, US/Israel with interceptors or Iran with their drones and missiles.

I’m sure there are many in places like South Korea, Japan, Poland and CONUS to protect against other threats. But the US likely won’t move those to help out the gulf states.

Cannot remove the bolded. To do so provides a clear pathway for North Korea. SMDH

Well look at that…

“The United States has been moving parts of its Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) anti-missile system from South Korea to the Middle East, the Washington Post reported, citing two officials.”

https://www.koreatimes.co.kr/southkorea/defense/20260310/us-moving-parts-of-thaad-anti-missile-system-from-s-korea-to-middle-east-report

Well now S Korea and Japan know where they stand in the pecking order of receiving America’s protection.

so the question is, does the US just keep bombing for the heck of it, or what?

We wasted about 14 billion dollars, at least 8 American lives and hundreds injured, got everyone mad at the US and exposed that our military capabilities, despite trillions spent over the years, are not invincible, for what exactly?

It als pissed off European allies. They know that we cannot be trusted. In addition, UK’s Starmer poll numbers rose after he told us “no” we could not use UK bases in the region

Yes the Iranians are smarter vs republicans. Iran was attacked the last two times it negotiated with the US. At this point it is hard to say which country has less credibility the US or Israel. Both will “take out” your leadership if you negotiate with them and break any ceasefire.

All the cards are in the hands of the Iranians now. Time is ticking and the oil is not flowing for over 11 days now.

Just a matter of time before Trump‘s surrenders.

He treated this like tariffs, which he "turned on and off" through social media posts. It's obviously nowhere near the same dynamic, and he's unleashed a crisis he cannot control.

This war was a terrible mistake.
I am shocked how many Israel supporters are willing argue and justify whatever Netanyahu does.
Is Netanyahu the Jewish pope?
Or should we call him the supreme leader?
Do some fans of Israel actually think he is good for Israel?

Oh purleeze. As if anything he wrote was not known already to thinking people.

Gosh, thank you Sen. Murphy, for making public statements about our military, its goals, and its capacities. I'm sure that our enemies won't read that and plan accordingly. What an idiot.

I'm shocked that close to 98% of Israelis supported this war against Iran. The problem isn't just Netanyahu but the society as a whole. At least in our country, the overwhelming public realized that this war was unnecessary and to no benefit of the US.

I would really like to know the real damage Israel has sustained in this operation. Has Iran missiles been able to penetrate deep into Israel causing serious damage or has Israeli citizens only suffered minor damage. Israel is preventing real media coverage. Any reporter who tries to report ends up dead.

No skin in the game and let's face it Bibi is a moderate in Israel

Iran will test its ability to inflict economic hard, potentially resulting in the US having to give concessions to Iran vs. the other way around. Only Trump could be this incompetent.
