He treated this like tariffs, which he "turned on and off" through social media posts. It's obviously nowhere near the same dynamic, and he's unleashed a crisis he cannot control.

I'm pretty sure these idiots gambled on 2-3 days of bombing being enough and assuming there'd be a mass uprising to do thr rest of the work overthrowing the govt for them. They grossly miscalculated.

Now the entire world's energy infrastructure is at risk, the war is looking like it will be another forever war lasting years and costing trillions, and now there is massive risk for terrorist or cyber attacks on US home soil.

You better start prepping with a lot of water, food, etc. Who knows what S storm is coming. Iran has the capability of taking out energy infrastructure via hacking or possibly through sleeper cells. This admin hasn't prepared for anything. We will be screwed if electric gets taken out. Clean water will be impossible.

Why is everyone ok with iran controlling international waters to block oil and launching rockets to everyone? They need to stop the world should have removed their regime decades ago

I am no math major, but they have around 3,000 to 4,000 combined missles and drones. There airforce and navy is gone already. But math wise every day they lose more and more missle and drones as they shoot them and will run out in next few weeks.

This is why Russia gave up in WW2 eventually on Western front food and weapons about to run out and even fresh clothing .

Unless you have cash and infrastrure to keep making new ones, feeding troops, buying troops new clothes and ammo eventually the war falls apart.

The port of Jebel Ali is the largest re-exporting facility in the world. A huge amount of trade goes through there. Close the Strait of Hormuz . . .

The Middle East supplies an enormous amount of agricultural fertilizer. This is already being felt by American farmers who cannot get firm commitments for fertilizer deliveries. And they need them since spring planting is right around the corner. More farm bailouts anyone?

Aluminum is about to go haywire. The Middle East produces literal boat loads of aluminum. Upwards of 30% of the global supply. Close the Strait of Hormuz and bauxite can't get in. And smelted aluminum can't get out.

It is more than just oil and gas.

People need to get it through their heads that America is not capable of installing regimes in the Middle East or controlling political outcomes there. The Thai ship that was hit today was struck in the stern at the waterline, which clearly indicates it was a sea drone. That’s the same thing that Ukraine has used to destroy Russia’s Black Sea fleet. They are very cheap and very effective. Iran clearly has the ability to keep the Strait of Hormuz closed for a very long time.

This all would have been known and prepared for if Trump/Hegseth/Rubio/Vance were remotely competent. But here we are. No one is more dangerous than confident idiots. And that’s the US government today.
