so the question is, does the US just keep bombing for the heck of it, or what?

We wasted about 14 billion dollars, at least 8 American lives and hundreds injured, got everyone mad at the US and exposed that our military capabilities, despite trillions spent over the years, are not invincible, for what exactly?

Gosh, thank you Sen. Murphy, for making public statements about our military, its goals, and its capacities. I'm sure that our enemies won't read that and plan accordingly. What an idiot.

There was no disclosure of non-public information in the senators tweets. I mean a bunch if us have been posting the same stuff in this forum.

To be fair, it all comes as a total surprise to people like PP who inhale right wing propaganda

Israel is like that kid you’ve always had to kind of be friends with because your moms were friends so you had to go out with him sometimes over summer break but every time you went out he would get you all caught up in some stupid fight he started. That’s my take.

The foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, has further said a unilateral declaration from Trump that the US had won the war would not bring an end to the conflict. The implication is that even if the US announced a willingness to end its attacks, Iran might be willing to continue the conflict in some form, or keep its chokehold on shipping seeking to navigate the strait of Hormuz.

Iran believes there can be no end to the conflict until it believes Trump has been shown the economic, political and military cost is so high that it is not worth repeating. It is instead insisting on a permanent deal that includes a US commitment not to attack Iran again.”

If I were the Iranians, I wouldn't sign any agreement with the reneger-in-chief unless the Chinese are brought in to mediate and sign on to any agreement. The Chinese would then probably demand unfettered access to the Strait of Hormuz (and possibly the Suez Canal and/or Panama Canal) and some permanent oil deals as part of any deal. This is the predicament the Americans are now facing. Any deal with the Iranians will put America in a worse position than it had prior to last July's first missile strikes. Trump has permanently ruined America's global hegemony.

Yep. This. The Chinese leader said the war should end and it was unnecessarily since when do we need Chinese leaders to tell us the truth?

I am still grappling to understand why we are in this quagmire (killing humans - and children! - not only “targeted military sites”)

Is it really crazies that think this will bring about the 3rd temple which will bring Jesus back to lead the worthy to heaven and the terrible to hell??? Have I gone down a rabbit hole of fake news? I really can’t understand the reasoning otherwise?

“Diesel prices are skyrocketing,” DeHaan said. “Everything you buy moves with diesel, whether it's the grocery store, the mall, whether you buy online, even airfares. Now the price of jet fuel has skyrocketed.”

This president obviously didn’t think about the repercussions of invading Iran at a goldmine (no pun) of a location between china and the Middle East

We've seen this before.. It wasn't long ago we were told to expect 10/gallon in CA. Yet, it never happened.
