I wish the pro ECNL parents could have seen the league in 2019/2020. Your cult was desperate and taking anyone that would apply.
The GA/MLSN alliance thing is going to continue gaining momentum. Just wait until clubs start switching in groups. |
Man you ECNL fanboys are seriously insecure. |
They've been this way since DA blew up. The MLSN/GA is now threatening them + they're lashing out / reaching for straws. It's only going to get worse for the ECNL fanboys. Cheap entertainment I guess. |
☝️ Crazy! |
He's making it up. "1 point." What parent who knows anything about the game calls it a goal a "point"? |
Yes, girls will now be tortured and deprived now that they must play in ga. If you're good, you're good. Stop bragging about the badge |
Some parents of the top players on these teams wait until late middle school before switching, because usually these mostly USYS clubs have lower rankings because they focus more on development vs. winning (and USYS isn't really favored as much in the app). They've already established a line of communication and basically have a spot when they want it. They also wait because the logistics are a pain, because the local ECNL club might be 45-60 minutes drive away, and these kids are still kids and have plenty of school and friend activities to also be part of. |
that is the situation my DD is in. Closest ECNL club is 2-1/2 hours away, so 5 hour round trip for us not including the practice time. Their are 2 GA teams about 2-1/4 hours away. All three have offered her spots the past two years without a tryout, but we can't do the 4x a week yet. She's a trapped 8th grader this spring. Her USYS team will play in the National Championship tournament this summer, but its obviously not the same as ECNL or GA. But the weekly commute at that age seems too much. An older girl in our club made the switch three years ago when she was a freshman, but stopped going into her junior year because the commute became too much. |
I'm not pro any league. IDK why people can't accept the facts that ECNL is still king with a huge gap. I'm referring to this moment in time, even after the GA additions. We all know GA has watered down their league with these mid to low additions. That doesn't mean GA won't be the top league in 3-5 years. Maybe their plan will work out. I really don't care. I don't understand why it's so hard for people to acknowledge the facts for this moment in time. |
I think its because ulitte and MS ages have a differrent and optimisitc view on this from a GA persepective. Older girls are not as convinced and have made decisions with their club choices. Arlington, Union and VDA's teams will be dominant over the next 2-3 years. After that who knows, and if you'r in HS who cares. GA will win this but really don't care who wins, just need to know what good for your DD now. |
The same college scouts and recruiters attend both GA and ECNL events. |
no they don't. ECNL gets double the amount of scouts especial D1 and this upcoming season it's gonna be worse for GA if their showcases dates and amounts stay the same. GA's only showcase with every age group that is their biggest turnout of coaches had a huge drop this season from the previous year. and this year, the ECNL moved their showcase up a week to the first week of DEC, the same week as the GA showcase. also the same dates as the CASL showcase in NC that has a decent turnout. so in the first week of DEC you will have: GA Showcase - California ECNL Showcase - Kansas City CASL showcase - North Carolina where you think most of the college teams will go? |
Yes, the ECNL boys will realized that sooner than later. MLSN and MLSN II is where boys want to play these days. It might take a bit longer for girls, but it will happen eventually for sure. Clubs cannot sustain themselves by only catering to the girls! |
+1 - smartest thing GA did was allign themselves with MLSN |
FACTS! Thank you! |
