Some parents of the top players on these teams wait until late middle school before switching, because usually these mostly USYS clubs have lower rankings because they focus more on development vs. winning (and USYS isn't really favored as much in the app). They've already established a line of communication and basically have a spot when they want it. They also wait because the logistics are a pain, because the local ECNL club might be 45-60 minutes drive away, and these kids are still kids and have plenty of school and friend activities to also be part of.[/quote]
