So do some churches and synagogues and it’s stopped people who wanted to do harm |
Sigh. Read the Constitution. Maryland is a STATE. |
So you’d be fine with this guy if he open carried and left accessories at home? |
Are you not paying attention? Someone already showed up to Kavanaugh's house in the middle of the night with a gun. This conservative SCOTUS is going too far, is generating severe backlash and is bringing out the worst. Wake up and realize the right wing needs to reverse course toward the middle. |
You are correct to a degree. My husband thinks like those posting here. He doesn’t see himself as a Marxist but he constantly spouts Marxist ideologies and is very locked in to his viewpoints (incidentally, he was more reasonable when we got married years ago). It’s a streak that has run a long time through his family tree (married him before Al Gore invented the internet ) He will not read a broad spectrum of media/sources so I suspect that that’s part of the issue. Oftentimes, he will say something, I will give him a more balanced story, he will vehemently disagree, and a couple days later that same story gets published in a media source he trusts. Even still, it’s hard for him to change his viewpoint. It’s a strange time we live in for sure.

I think Redditors have invaded the forum - young, immature and strange. |
We’ll condemn it when any actual violence occurs. You know, like the mass murder of doctors who perform abortions. The arson. The bullet proof glass at clinics. The Supreme Court ruling that establishing a perimeter around clinics impedes the free speech of these violent lunatics. |
Incoherent, inconsistent right wing gobbledygook. Hypocrisy. Rights for me but not for thee. It was considered "peaceful" by the right wing to have zip ties, tools and weapons when they stormed the US Capitol on J6. Fine for right wing nutjobs to show up armed with AR-15s outside state capitols and governors' homes to protest mask mandates as they did but suddenly now they act shocked to have someone show up armed outside a justice's home to protest the overturn of Roe v Wade. WTF |
If he was out there protesting openly carrying? Yes. That’s his right if the state/county law determines that it is. The fact he had a concealed gun, a concealed knife, burglary tools, zip ties and a plan makes his different than the typical protestor. If it was women in their cosplay carrying guns on their hips protesting on the sidewalk and the law was on their side, then they are exercising their legal right to protest. I admit I’d probably laugh at the cosplay though. |
Yes, because leftists are out there stating that women suffering ectopic pregnancies and miscarriages will be forced by law to let all women die. The fact is, the media is spouting this incorrect information to whip people up into a frenzy. |
Old, moderate, and absolutely disgusted by Rs trying to take away my bodily autonomy and not protecting our kids with basic common sense gun control. |
Yeah. All of those idiots running around with cosplay guns are hilarious. |
Because the idiots proposing these laws don’t understand how reproductive systems work. https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2022-03-11/missouri-ectopic-pregnancy-bill-tries-to-limit-abortion-drugs-to-treat-condition |
+1. When you start legislating medical practices it becomes murky and doctors will become reluctant to do what they need to do for fear of criminal charges. Even though you say that ectopic pregnancies and miscarriages will be unaffected, it is still going to affect how doctors make medical decisions. LEAVE MEDICINE TO THE EXPERTS NOT UNINFORMED LEGISLATORS, PLEASE! |
A left wing article telling us the law and the law itself are often different. |
