Reading the comments here from people who are presumably "liberal" or "Democrats" tell me one thing. These folks aren't Democrats. They are not liberals. They are some kind of Marxist following fringe of the left. My Democratic friends have condemned this planned assassination by a lunatic. They don't make excuses for him. They don't "whatabout" this incident. They flat out condemn it. I have yet to see any DCUM keyboard warrior condemn it. Very telling.
You are correct to a degree. My husband thinks like those posting here. He doesn’t see himself as a Marxist but he constantly spouts Marxist ideologies and is very locked in to his viewpoints (incidentally, he was more reasonable when we got married years ago). It’s a streak that has run a long time through his family tree (married him before Al Gore invented the internet  ) He will not read a broad spectrum of media/sources so I suspect that that’s part of the issue. Oftentimes, he will say something, I will give him a more balanced story, he will vehemently disagree, and a couple days later that same story gets published in a media source he trusts. Even still, it’s hard for him to change his viewpoint. It’s a strange time we live in for sure.
