There will be a market for pro vaccine businesses and a market aimed at those happy to swim in the viral stew. Anyone not expecting both is not paying attention.

I really don’t think there is one, except for a very small number of self employed service providers (like the aforementioned stylist and masseuse)

Anti vax cruise anyone? Step right up....anyone? Anyone at all?

Norovirus is enough deterrent. Cruises are déclassé and always will be. I prefer private jets.

What’s funny is that even people who don’t really want the vaccine would hesitate to book a cruise that advertised that they catered to the unvaccinated. Lol

Lol right, I don’t see anyone running to get the vax so they can go on a cruise

I doubt cruise ships will bill themselves as "anti-vax." They just won't require vaccinations of passengers.

Anyway, I'm vaccinated. What do I care if my fellow cruise-members want to take risks by being unvaccinated?

Shrug. I've been hitting the gym since they reopened, and this was before vaccines. Now that I'm vaccinated, I have zero fear of my fellow weightlifters.

I've found it a bit heartening that some of the anti-vax people I know are starting to reconsider. My BIL/SIL were not planning to get it but BIL's work highly encouraged it so he just did. SIL is still holding out but our 17yo nephew has more sense and is pushing for it. I think he rightly sees how it's to his benefit to get vaccinated (for multiple reasons). So they agreed that he can get it but SIL is apparently stalling though and saying he can only go to one particular place for the vaccine that is always booked up. They are in a red state where availability is not an issue overall, I'm not sure why she's insisting he go to one location, DH told him just to go to CVS but I guess he needs a parent to sign off since he's a minor.

Given the choice of a cruise requiring vaccinations or a cruise not requiring vaccination, I would be shocked if the former was not the preferred option. But i am sure the cruise industry will do their homework.

If there is a market for your anything goes cruise - they will sell it.

Depends where you are. In blue states, this is already happening.

Look, the market will solve this. If the market for requiring vaccines is there, it will happen. If there isn't market interest, it won't.
