The experience of using government connections to line his own pockets combined with years of pandering to the far left at the expense of the majority of state residents? Yeah, no. At least McClellan and Carroll Foy aren’t such parasites and Youngkin isn’t such a hypocrite. |
If the Democrats continue down this path on education (CRT, VMPI, etc.) and having kept schools closed so long, the election will absolutely be about local education. |
Absolutely. Vast majority of families I know much more concerned about the disastrous trends in public education here. Not worried at all about Arizona audit or limits on “protesting” in other cities. |
Indoctrinating kids with racist propaganda that is critical race theory and eliminating advanced math is progress? |
That can be limited at the local level. I'm not voting for an Evangelical R that will start a battle over abortion and spout Trumpisms instead of doing actual work |
I know some liberals who just a couple years ago said equality of opportunity was five, equdd ar pity of outcome is bad, are now demanding equality of outcome. It’s getting crazy |
I’m voting for Jennifer |
Not with VA DOE pushing for statewide elimination of tracking. |
If Youngkin can spread the word among Asians about the elimination of advanced math, that would give him a comfortable victory. |
"Indoctrinating kids with racist propaganda that is critical race theory and eliminating advanced math is progress?"
CRT and eliminating advanced Math are the most racist ideas Democrats have had since they implemented Jim Crow laws. |
so people are cool with continuing to whitewash our history?
what sad little snowflakes |
Is JCF a Muriel Bowser type? I’m just trying to figure out how to place her. Seems to get a lot of support among the more activist set, but is it identity-based support like Kamala Harris? Will she govern like a Bowser? Anyone know what her accomplishments are? |
Absolutely. |
Youngkin by a mile |
Of course not, but a critical race theory curriculum isn’t the answer. Do you trust your average 45 year old 3rd year teacher, formerly SAHM, fresh off her mid-life career change, to accurately teach and explain racial issues to a bunch of 7th graders? With a whole, likely, one inservice day of “training” under her belt? These are issues that academics grapple with for years. And they’re difficult subjects at the college level, both to explain and for students to fully understand. I wouldn’t be opposed to these lessons at the upper HS level in English, history, and sociology type courses if taught by thoroughly prepared and experienced teachers, and indeed I think it would be helpful in terms of preparation for college. But in general, I’m quite skeptical. It’ll be like your job’s thrown-together diversity trainings but worse. |
