The WAPO article said that the authors had talked to a "veteran FBI" agent about this. Does this mean a retired FBI agent?
Also, it says that the "intermediaries" for Stier went to the FBI? Were these lawyers? Neighbors? Employees? Classmates? Kind of vague. And, for someone as well-wired into the DC establishment, why would he need intermediaries? Makes no sense. |
Would this be the 2nd witness who heard about the incident from a friend? Please - this piece was so poorly sourced that it should have never been printed. Same with the book coming out. |
What makes no sense is that this article, and the book itself, was even published to begin with. The authors did not talk to the subjects whom they write about. They have no statements from them. Pitiful sourcing. |
+1. This is not journalism. This is a parody of journalism. |
You will never know what the other justices think. They, like the woman from the party who refused to be interviewed or comment, know that discretion is more powerful than gossip. |
And a brilliant strategy to sell the book. First, everyone was slavering to see what was in the book, now they want to see what is not in the book. A savvy strategy from a marketing person who probably attended many a drunken dorm party. |
Yup. The NYT is little but a marketing and advertising machine. "All the news that's fit to print" my #ss. |
Thank G-d, you aren't on the Supreme Court. You have found Kavanaugh guilty of attempted rape based on the non-recall of a troubled woman who was used by the Democratic Party to advance an agenda. |

Another little tidbit omitted from this horrible NYTImes hit piece......
Placed at the *very* end of the book is a stunning detail, per @MZHemingway : "’It just didn't make any sense,’ lifelong friend Leland Keyser told NYT reporters about Ford's allegations, adding ‘I don't have any confidence in the story.’” |
No, do you? |
DP. What is despicable about wanting a free press that reports accurately? |
What a cocky response, PP!!! |
Or...the next nominee isn't shady. Like Gorsuch (or Garland). |
Your one-sided desperation in hoping to unseat him is duly noted. |
Those who don't want to see a conservative-leaning justice on the Supreme Court will make up shady accusations, if they think needed to prevent that person being seated. |
