there are many perspectives on the war. Isn't that the point? but Kyle was entitled to his. |
Go back to the beginning of the thread. Apparently when we're talking about American Sniper, "many perspectives on the war" aren't allowed. All 100% heroes all the time! No flaws at all! Veterans are unimpeachable! Even when they lie their asses off constantly! Every war is justified and every enemy is a savage! Or else you're unamerican! Etc. |
No one said this. Stop trying to prove something that isn't there |
Another PP here. Although PP is being dramatic, that was the tone for a great deal of this thread. That if you did not think Kyle was a hero, you did not share his perspective on the war, or you had different thoughts about what his legacy should be, you were wrong. So while it was not as extreme as PP says, it was there. |
Its sad to.me that was your takeaway, but I guess you heard what you wanted to hear/affirmed.some.script u had running in your head. |
From earlier in the thread: Best take more care when you speak ill of the dead - especially those that served our country and did away with pure evil. You have NO idea what these guys go through so you can sit on your ass and shoot off at the mouth! THEY PROTECT OUR FREEDOM! Michael Moore sure as hell isn't protecting anything but you people flock to him like he is God. That is what is wrong with our country, I bet your tune will change when/if you need our WARRIORS right here in the US!! We ask them to do atrocious thinks to protect our county, lack the ability to manage mental illness when they return, then you sit iny our warm homes with your high speed internet and degrees you don't use judging them. |
I did not support W's decision to invade Iraq, but at some point, US troops were primarily fighting Al Queda In Iraq - and that I support. I still support fighting/killing Al Queda and ISIL. So does our president. As to who "created" Al Queda - THEY created themselves and they hate the west simply for being the west. They hate infidels. They hate women. The hate the house of Saud (even though the Saudis once supported salafis / radicals as somehow useful). Al Queda and ISIL are pure hatred. So it bogles my mind how the American left can share that same hate towards a hero like Chris Kyle. Then again, the American left seems to harbor a lot of hate toward America. |
Oh, that's original, accusing us of being un-American. |
Oh do shut up you blow hard. |
Who armed them, then. |
And now they are burning people alive.but whoa be to the sniper fighting people.like this who characterizes them as animals or chips away at their 'humanity'. |
if the shoes fits... |
It does not. |
Bottom line, like it or not, we need people like Kyle. |
Then we should.probably.like them.... |
