. The rant? Where is the rant in the movie? Dont recall any swelling.music, any rant - except "baby I'm ready to come home". Was that a rant to you? |
ISIS didn't exist until we invaded Iraq. |
That may be, but the pp said this is how he got PTSD. Do we just get to make up facts now? |
Kyle said that himself in interviews. PP did not make it up. Go on YouTube and watch him say it. Doesn't have to be the Butcher, who was symbolic for the terrorists who WERE torturing |
I can't find that, so maybe you can post it. In general, I think it odd that conservatives are deriving so much "truth" from the same "Hollyweird" that they disparage. To me, you are suckers because you can't separate entertainment from history. |
You mean like "Selma"? |
I have yet to see the liberals on this forum discuss that film at any length. And most of the articles I have seen written about it take issue with the dramatic license taken by the director and screenwriters. If you want to watch something substantial about the civil rights movement, rent Eyes on the Prize. That is a real documentary, with actual footage. I am not planning to watch Selma because I am not a sucker. |
its a movie |
Start with O'Relly's interview. Move from there |
Ok so I did, and surprise surprise it does not support your statement.
The only thing he said about his PTSD is that it did not come from guilt over killing bad guys. Clearly he did not want to say what caused his ptsd. Also he pointed out the problem of believing a Hollywood account of war, as you can see above. Which explains why the movie does not line up with his book. |
evil is hard to define. What name to 'call' nazi prison guards? Josef mengele? Do we dehumanize the enemy or do they dehumanize us? But to tell soldiers they cannot name the enemy in a way that helps them.make sense in the heat of conflict? PC run amok. Thought.police. |
Keep looking. He very soecifically said it. |
Sorry but I read the printed transcript of the interview. You are imagining things. I quoted it directly. You are wrong. |
An article by another sniper that shows a different perspective on the war. This article was recommended to me by a Marine Lt.Colonel friend, who has served twice in Afghanistan and once in Iraq.
