| The adoptive parents are really scum. In addition to learning about how her father fought for her, she will be subject to public comments throughout her life from people who know her story. |
Then let the story die and MOVE ON. |

Now the Capiobiancos want Dusten Brown to pay their legal fees and other expenses in the Baby Veronica case. KRMG has confirmed with Brown's lawyers that court action is underway to recover possibly hundreds of thousands of dollars from Brown. The little girl, known as Baby Veronica, was handed over to her adoptive parents, Matt and Melanie Capobianco, Monday night. The couple, along with Veronica, then began the 1,000 mile drive from Tahlequah to the Capobianco's home of South Carolina. Earlier Monday, the Oklahoma Supreme Court said it didn't have jurisdiction in the adoption dispute involving the 4-year-old Cherokee girl. The biological father, Dusten Brown, lives in Oklahoma and has been fighting the adoption in court. |

Will let you know when Anderson Cooper 360 ("white" and "biased", but pro-adoptive parents) and CNN reports this---they are also biased, but pro Capobianco. Not sure if CNN is "white" though. I am sure this will be all over the news soon enough. A lawuit of this nature does not have too many facts that can be twisted as the actual case had. It is pretty cut and dry.

| Anti-Capobianco and anti-adoption poster - seek help. It really looks like you've got personal issues that you're projecting on this case. You need a doctor, not random internet forums. |
You need a moral compass-integrity anyone? |
| But if the father had wanted the child, why didn't he keep her at the start? He relinquished her and the baby was up for adoption. It just happened to be the Capobiancos. If I had adopted her and loved her from birth to age 2, you bet I would fight for her with my last breath. |
+1 The dad changed his mind, because he wanted to "win" against his ex. He never cared about his child. Imagine Veronica growing up and realizing that her dad signed away his parental responsibility and rights? At least the Capobiancos always wanted the little girl. |
Good luck with what you're working on. It sounds like it's going to take a long time to work on your past personal issues. |
| I haven't read through any of the pages but as someone who is American Indian, I am sad that she will be raised without her tribe. I was raised around white people and it was (and is) horrible! |
I agree. They hardly deserve the "scum" description. I do feel for all concerned and can't imagine the emotions they're all feeling--including the dad and little girl. |
| Can you imagine if the Capobiancos stopped fighting for Veronica, and she grew up realizing that her biological mom, her biological dad, and her adoptive parents ALL did not want her? I understand the bio dad changed his mind, but you can't just change your mind when it comes to deciding when to be a parent. Sorry. It doesn't work like that. A lot of people love her now, but I'm glad that she'll grow up knowing that two people ALWAYS wanted her. +1 Capobianco family. I hope that they'll allow whoever wants to see Veronica and be open, but this was the right move. |
No, the dad never consented to this And if he wanted to get back at his ex, there were other ways Looks like the ex wanted to get back at him. Either way, the kid will know her father wanted her and fought until the end. I was hoping for the kind of class action change to adoption laws, one that would guarantee that adoption is always something both parents agree to |
He never knowingly consented to the adoption. She is her bio father, she has been with him the longest. This a horrible black eye for legitimate adoptions. |
He started trying to get her since SHE Was AN INFANT. The family fought him and dragged it out, that is why she was with th for do long. I cannot imagine. There was another similar case, man did not even know about the kid. Adoptive family lost to him and they gave up the fight . You can't STEAL other people's kids. |
