Carrie Underwood, a woman in country which has an even higher uphill climb, has sold 85 million albums. country albums are some of the best selling. For KU to be in this genre and to be in it so long it only hit 17 million he simply just not that successful.

Zach Bryan is an anomaly. A lot of his songs sound like the alternative music I listened to in college, and unsurprisingly he found fame with college and then high school students. Careers of celebrities wax and wane, they always have. He may be in a downturn and yes it may be hitting him hard and affecting his choices. But I don't think it's rare, it's just part of the cycle, he's been in the business for decades and is almost 60. It's difficult and probably very painful. She's alluded to feeling roles got more difficult to get from her forties on...these are two celebrities that are probably having great difficulty aging. Maybe they were both in their respective crises at the same time and couldn't help each other through it. She's mourning her mother he may be mourning other things...Their pursuit of having to stay and appear
relevant and young is intense for this couple. It's sad in a way.
