DP. So you consider the Pledge of Allegiance “mindless indoctrination,” but you’re a-ok with books that depict graphic sex acts in our public school libraries. And you wonder why no one takes you seriously. ![]() ![]() |
+100 Exactly. Funny how these people are selectively permissive with what their kids may be exposed to. Bizarre. |
+1 seriously |
“Emptied”? Hyperbole, much? We’re talking about certain sexually explicit books - that’s it. Feel free to buy that garbage for your own kids. DP |
You can squeal that it is hysterical, but my Florida teacher friends will tell you it is not hyperbole. There classes have no books because they can't be sure what a nut like you will objects to. |
Well, I certainly object to poor spelling and grammar. |
So liberal areas of Florida should have the right to teach history the way they want, right to teach in a way that assumes that LGBTQ people are a normal part of the fabric of society, and should keep whatever books the librarians and educators pick out in their libraries. Do you agree? |
Please list these explicit books and tell us what pages you find to be smut. |
No one is making kids read those books and they are certainly not reading them aloud in the classroom on a daily basis. Are you that bad at arguing your point? Apparently so. |
Nope. I have written above that I have no problem with kids learning about various religions. What os wrong with that? I assume you don’t object to your kids learning about Diwali or paganism, right? I don’t fear knowledge. |
Totally fine with public schools teaching comparative religion classes. Would hope that also includes atheism.
Are the posters invoking Christianity also fine with that? |

We have so many kids in this country who are unsupervised and accessing all kinds of violent and sexually explicit materials in their homes. Public schools do not need to be making such materials easily available. |
That’s it for now. You’re clearly a right winger and have been well indoctrinated, but there are historical examples of the path the GOP is on, and it doesn’t stop with “sekshually GrApHiC” books. |
