I look at Harry and I see someone who is not bright, has an explosive temper, a huge entitlement complex, and has been coddled by people around him beyond belief all his life, never calling him on the fact that this "I'm a poor poor little wounded boy whose mummy died" is not a good look for a grown-ass man. Harry has had a ton of therapy AND been a spokesperson for mental health (with his brother) for quite some time - not sure why all these interventions didn't call him on it. Must be hard to do that with a member of a RF. It's important to remember that with any BRF member, all we see is what we're allowed to see - a packaged product created for consumption. None of us knows what they're really like. I think Harry's happy-go-lucky, lad-next-door image has been cultivated by the courtiers to protect him bc they see he isn't capable of much more. Now that the handlers are not around, the real Harry comes out and it's not attractive. "My mommy died because she was dating a nonwhite person". WTF?

I’ll add that he was brought up to be expendable, in a family where many of the “spares” don’t do well. He’s had major trauma and loss that wasn’t adequately dealt with. He seemed to find a good place for himself in the military — and lost that place due to the attention of the press. I think it takes a lot of courage and vulnerability to do what he seems to be trying to accomplish— particularly with constant public scrutiny.

I still think it’s unfortunate all the way around that Harry wasn’t allowed to use the part in - part out model that other BRF members seem to enjoy. NP

I think that’s just because the others never talked crap about the firm. That’s their issue. Megan in particular.

True. Charles, especially, said quite a lot, particularly in the Dimbleby book. I guess he didn’t quite realize that others might follow his example.

So, are you thinking that Charles regrets the model that he set by discussing his marriage and family woes on television? It really was too bad that he chose to do that, and that Diana was manipulated into doing her bombshell interview.
