Okay, well this might just be bad.

I genuinely thought this was a Halloween costume.

WHY??? Why is she doing this??

I don’t want to care about her clothes but it’s just an added layer of national embarrassment when she goes on these taxpayer-funded princess trips and wears clothing that is so unprofessional.

USO cosplayer goes on a picnic?

WTAF. I just don't understand anything about this. Not the fabric, the color, the length, the fit, the accessories, the detailing, nothing makes sense....

This does not bother me. Yes, the brooch looks like a nametag from a distance, and I would not have paired it with white shoes, but in the grand scheme of things, we have seen a lot worse from her, so I'll take it.

Found that dress - by a Colombian designer so I guess that's why she's doing it. But there are many many other nicer dresses by that designer.. this one is terrible and she looks so odd in it!

Also, fine, wear the weird lettuce dress to a party or out to dinner with your evil husband! It is daytime and she is at “work” and she looks ridiculous.

Female scarecrow goes to prom?

Stuff of nightmares.

The basket bag is cute, though.

I wonder what her original color is like ... looks super dark! I do think she has very fine hair that doesn't benefit from all the bleaching. That's why even when done it tends to look a bit dirty. She'd look great with a short bob but probably doesn't fit with the family look.

She would look great with a short bob. Or even if you put a little wave in her hair. The super straight hair is too fine not to look stringy.

She found this thread: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-7420499/Ivanka-Trump-shows-sleek-new-haircut-flying-South-America.html

It looks much better on her.

She looks like she’s pushing 50.

I hope I look that good when I'm almost 50.

She’s only in her 30’s. She’s not supposed to look like she’s in her late 40’s. Women in their 30’s usually still retain some of their “dewiness” or softness, but she looks so harsh.

Actually, I kind of think this is interesting...but it's not well-proportioned for her figure, and her accessories are confusing. But it's a better raw choice (as in the dress on a hanger) than something like 90% of the stuff she picks out. By contrast, ~90% of the stuff Melania picks out looks good on a hanger, but a large fraction of it isn't tailored properly to her body or just doesn't fit her proportions. That Chanel dress with the front pleats and chains is a good example of something that is objectively a nice dress but not particularly flattering on Melania. Ivanka's choices are objectively bad much of the time, and they also don't fit her properly. At leas this dress is interesting in theory.

I actually think a lot of her clothes are good on the rack but not good on her rack, if that makes sense. They require an edgier or harder look - but she looks like she's shellacked, which is the wrong thing for these clothes. Like even that white flowered dress from the other day - if you un-prissed it up a little bit I think it would be a good dress. But it's not good on her. This girly stuff is just too yicky - I think she needs more, like, pencil skirts or something. I don't know. Less spray on makeup that makes her look like a robot.

I agree. I think the Ortiz dress is quite hard to wear in real life, but it looks better on the very thin, flat-chested model. On Ivanka's figure, it looks fussy. And then she wears everything with traditional high pumps in matchy matchy colors, and does her make up like a Stepford Wife. It's very hard to wear cutting edge fashion with all of that and make it look cool. She ends up looking overdone and inappropriate.
