Name the law school so we can see for ourselves how many went to CTCL schools undergrad. You can do that easily without outing yourself, and it will give you the credibility that right now you are lacking.

I'm not the PP, but attended a school listed here and classmates attended Chicago, Georgetown, Harvard, and Michigan Law. Then a number, including me, who attended Ivies for grad school.

Here’s the thing: that happens with virtually every college in the top several hundred. It doesn’t make the school special.

By the way, Georgetown isn’t all that. And I’ll bet you don’t have too many at Yale Law.

Has anyone attended a CTCL fair? I just got a mailing that they are doing a nationwide tour in August.

Fair? More like a circus freak show.

We "attended" several of the virtual sessions last year. They were certainly helpful, informative, especially in the early stages of figuring out where to apply. A few schools were grouped together in each session.

Please, go away. If you ever consider posting again, don’t.

I think the PP is saying the opposite. That a bunch of people went to Oberlin but much fewer went to CTCLs schools.

I know a number of people who went to Oberlin and then Michigan law. A surprising number actually. I went to a different law school and didn’t know anyone who went to Oberlin but I am sure this varies from year to year.

Yep. You're right. I stand corrected. But Oberlin is not some low rent CTCL school. It's in a higher league. CTCL schools are NOT filling up elite law schools with their graduates, believe me.

Come on. Your post would have been accurate 20-30 years ago, but Oberlin is in decline. It's the third best LAC in Ohio now, behind Kenyon and Dennison (a CTCL, interestingly). It's not "low rent," but neither are the better CTCL schools.

I never heard of CTCL Schools, but I dig the sinister marketing. These are like Fox News people with their "alternative facts".

Just because you say Denison is better doesn't make it so. Oberlin remains well ahead of Denison in US News (and only has one "n" by the way).

You never heard of it because it’s not a real thing except among the boosters of the brand here on the internet who use the term in a desperate attempt to claim they’re special.

PP is the one who seems desperate. CTCL is just branding and branding that in itself seeks a niche well below the elite schools often discussed here. Not clear why that drive you to obsession.

I think you're the one who's obsessed.
