Yes ... saying that we need clinical trials to determine whether or not a treatment works, is absolutely cheering for a treatment not to work! At this point, I'm actually praying that people like PP are trolls or paid PR operatives, because the alternative is just too sad. |
Hopefully the hoarding dies down and people who need the drug can get it now. Wonder if there will be a big rush on bleach and UV lights next. |
Is there really any doubt? If there is a way to make a buck off of bleach and sunshine, Trump will find it. And his followers will gladly inject whatever poison he promotes into their veins - if they can figure how to get and use syringes, which may be a stretch. |
I have a hunch that a LOT of Trump supporters already know how to use syringes. |
Isn't this the truth. Remember, that many of the posts you are reading come from people who are still employed and are able to "work from home" and continue to get a paycheck so they are not suffering with the shut down. They are also cheering the economic decline because they believe this will be bad for Trump. They haven't thought ahead to realize that Biden is incapable of bringing back the economy like Trump can. |
So true. No one knows down-and-out Middle American blue collar folks like a scheming New York real estate magnate and reality TV clown. |
It isn't a matter of cheering for treatments not to work. It is about understanding science. This is a virus. Anti-bacterial and other remedies simply cannot work on a virus. Same thing, inserting UV light or using extreme heat or disinfectants may kill the virus, but they will kill other cells too, and enough will simply kill the host. |

It's amazing to me that people will defend Trump saying something ignorant with the argument that "it's okay for him to promote bad or innacurrate ideas because only stupid people believe him"
Talk about having low expectations for a president. |
Seriously. |

“Forget testing, ventilators, and PPE. Donald Trump’s big plan to beat COVID-19 involved distributing millions of doses of an unproven drug. Behind the scenes, senior administration officials pushed hard to bend the rules and back up his boasts.”

Yet, both Gov. Cuomo and Gov. Newsome would disagree with this false, biased piece. Hell, it is Vanity Fair. |
the fact that Trump even needs the #promisesmadepromiseskept hashtag is pitiful. |
the piece is written by Katherine Eban, a well respected investigative journalist specializing in pharamaceuticals & public health. she wrote a very well reviewed book on generic drugs last year. I see no reason to think she is falsifying anything - do you? |
He doesn't need it. It is what it is. Because, past presidents have not kept their campaign promises. Sorry it disturbs you so that two Democratic governors have commended the Trump administration on the job they've done. It must be frustrating for you. |
