Trump, his cabinet and response team probably are? Isn't it also being used as a prophylactic by doctors and nurses right now? Safe bet pols like Cuomo, Whitmer, et al are taking it too. |
| If I came down with a fever tomorrow, I would absolutely take hydroxychloroquine, Z-pac, and zinc, if I could get my hands on some. |
The DC problem with hydroxychloroquine is that it's a generic that nobody is making any money from. It costs pennies per dose to make. I'm sure if it cost $500 per pill, there would be lobbyists all over DC pushing for it. |
There's an election in November and at the moment only one candidate is on our TVs an hour or two everyday. He wasn't even supposed to have a briefing today, announced it about an hour before it happened, news people thought he had something important to announce, but no. He rambled on and on for an hour and a half about the same bullshit as usual ("I inherited a very broken system" for the millionth time) not even finishing his own sentences, calling reporters questions "nasty", pretending like he's still on The Apprentice (news says he was the one who wanted the Navy commander fired...."You're fired!") and milking the free national campaign rallies on the taxpayers dime. |

Because it's a multisyllabic scientific word that he managed to pronounce and it makes him feel smart.
Because he desperately needs a solution to get him off the hook. Because Jared told him it works. Because he's a very stable genius. ...All, or some of the above? |
Why? Are you a medical professional? Did someone close to you who IS a medical professional tell you that this combo works or could possibly work? What are you basing this on? I’m asking respectfully. I just want to understand where this info is coming from. |
“He’s [trump] saying it’s worth trying”. Who the hell is trump to say that from a presidential podium?! Can’t you see how wrong this is? It is untested, unsafe, unknown in regard to dosage and possible drug interactions, and not harmless! It is not worth you trying it! People are coming off ventilators who would have died a terrifying and painful death without them. Of course they work! Do not be stupid, PP. trump doesn’t have a fricking clue what he’s talking about. |
| Because the more he says it, the more he believes himself. And it’s also become a p0wn the libs opportunity, so he’s cultivating his base. When/if it turns out chloroquinone doesn’t work or works minimally, he’ll just talk about something else. For now he just wants to be able to talk about something that he thinks sounds good. |
You are a complete fool. |

Trump has very limited motivations:
1. Make money for himself, his family, and his donors. Does anyone doubt at this point that Trump and family have a large financial investment in this drug? 2. Score political points. If the drug somehow works, Trump will take credit as a visionary. If it fails, either Trump will say ‘At least I tried’ or he’ll claim that it worked, but the deep state don’t want you to know that. Win-win from his perspective either way. 3. Get revenge on his imaginary enemies. There is a Pulitzer Prize out there for any journalist who is willing to scrape beneath the surface of Trump’s financial interests to figure out how he is making money off of this medical crisis. And you know that he is. |
| Lol that would be fantastic if reporting in Trump and his failure would win the Pulitzer Prize . He wants a prize so badly. |

That's one doctor's opinion. Here is a survey of over 6,000: https://techstartups.com/2020/04/02/hydroxychloroquine-is-the-most-effective-therapy-for-coronavirus-treatment-a-global-survey-of-over-6000-doctors-shows/ |
Using it as a treatment in hospital is a bit different from someone taking it prophylactically as pp says she would do, don’t you think? |
