Why is DJT so obsessed with pushing hydroxychloroquine?

Sure and those are related how?

UNREAL.

He could have done that with ventilators and masks.

Behind the scenes: This drama erupted into an epic Situation Room showdown. Trump's coronavirus task force gathered in the White House Situation Room on Saturday at about 1:30pm, according to four sources familiar with the conversation.”

Now is the time for someone to stand up and say, this man in incompetent and should be removed from office.

Because that's all he has left.

Well, hopefully he also has the professional advice of promoting social distancing, hand washing, quarantining, and maybe mask wearing to help. After that, it’s hoping that a vaccine works and/or treatments.

So it was ok not to have worried too much about this in January? February? Noun. Verb. Fauci.

He probably profits from it somehow, and he desperately needs money.

OP here. Thanks PP for posting the link to the Axios article. This is the clearest explanation I've seen of why Trump keeps talking about this drug. According to the Axios article, Peter Navarro, Sean Hannity, and Giuliani are pushing it (for whatever reason each one of them has). Sounds like the Prez is doing what he usually does--latching on to some idea that catches his fancy because one of his close supporters endorses it and then promoting it.

There are a couple of other things that are being tried, but this is the cheapest and most readily available. As for the ventilators, they don't seem to be working very well for the patients.

I would like Trump to take it first.

What does he have to lose?

When he said “I’m not a doctor but I have common sense” I wrote it down so I would never forget it. I’m a registered republican and he is an embarrassment. These briefings where he commands center stage for 45 minutes are a disaster politically but he can’t help himself as he assumes the camera time is a good thing. All it does is shows his ignorance and his spitefullness.

How do we know he’s not taking it already?
