| Unclear if they are going to divide the NE division, but as it stands now there will be a lot of travel involved. |
Compared to what currently exists, I disagree. There’s now 10 teams in the South division of the NE conference. There are only 20 ECNL games. If 18 games are against teams in MD, PA and NJ (home and away), then that will significantly shorten travel for league games. |
| 20 games? Are the teams playing themselves? |
| Pipeline parent and just received an email about girls joining ENCL along with Penn Fusion and PDA South. |
lol. guess ya didnt read above |
|
ECNL NE Conference would be broken out into North and South.
No longer would MA teams have to travel as far south as MD |
there will be less now, even if they leave the conferences as is. north teams will be added as well im sure, so travel will be LESS most likely. |
| Virginia will be next. |
its already broken into north and south, but north and south are playing eachother currently. MD teams traveling to Boston and connecticut multiple times. This will lessen travel as there will be more southern teams and more northern teams (eventually) |
Agreed. Look for South Shore up north to jump in, and maybe STA-MU in NJ. |
The only team that will get in will be Arlington of that. |
One home, one way against each opponent. |
| So why Pipeline and not BA? |
| Pipeline has boys all in too. That's what is holding up Arlington. |
Of course not. Currently the North and South play their own division home and away, and then play the remaining games against teams from the other division. If the South now has 10 teams and they each play each other twice, then that is 18 games, with the remaining 2 league games against teams from the North division. That would greatly cut down travel for teams in the South division from what they have had to do the last several years. |
