Where's the list for Blair? |
Where's the list for Stuyvesant? |
And Thomas Jefferson? |
| As long as gangs are active in areas near Blair and other DCC schools these schools will just never improve. Even with pulling the best kids from all over the county, Blair only ranks a 6 and a dismal graduation rate. Its far from a success story and being able to say that your kid took a gym class with some kids from the magnets isn't exactly useful. |
"Gangs" - YES! I finally have Bingo on my DCUM buzzword sheet! I think this thread has lived out its full potential now. |
| Its not funny and you shouldn't try to ignore the gang problem in schools like Blair. Silver Spring, Wheaton and Germantown have serious issues. The game groups targeted are middle to high schoolers. |
Yes, it answers your question which was: "provide CONCRETE information proving Blair "achieves more" with its students. " It is the mother of all STEM and it shows Blair achieves more with less STEM students. CASE CLOSED |
I didn't know that Germantown is in the DCC. |
You mean the gangs and drugs problems in Bethesda and Potomac? Where there's drug, there are gangs and Bethesda and Potomac are full of drugs |
LOLZ - again please provide a single shred of proof with these assinine claims. There have been 0 gang-related incidents at MCPS in years according to the county. Last time some clown brought this up they posted random articles about MS-13 in other states. This is a complete joke!

I know it wouldn't take long for them to come out of the woods. The mention of Blair drives them insane and crazy |
This is that random W parent's attempt at fear mongering in the hopes of maintaining overinflated real-estate values since they can't otherwise compete with a school like Blair in terms of academics. |
Oddly, it seems likes it's always kids from the west side schools that make the news for issues like drunk driving. My impression from the news is that there are significant problems at these schools as well. |
+LOL |
Poolesville has plenty of kids win Intel competition awards. How is that different? Again, it’s one competition. It’s far from a comprehensive comparison of the schools. |
