So is anyone in Congress going to tell Trump the reflecting pool….

Atlantic Industrial Coatings in conjunction with the US Park Service has identified some areas in the Reflecting Pool that require repairs. These areas are a very small part of the massive 7 acre project, and do not indicate a failure of the liner.

These repairs can not be made until the pool is drained. As soon as its feasible for the Park, the pool will be drained and AIC will be back to make those needed repairs as part of the warranty.

Wow! 10 weeks ago yesterday we got a phone call asking if we would like to do a special project with Rhino Linings and Creative Polymers. Thanks for making that call Todd Brown and Rhino Linings!

Today as we watch the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool fill up we reflect on our great nation and the honor it is to serve her! A huge thank you to Eddie Wood, Alex Starkey, Richard Richard T Jones, Marcus Logan Jr. and the other 30+ new friends for making this an outstanding success!!

But ALL the credit goes to Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ!! Thank you!!

If chunks of the liner are floating in the water just days after finishing, the liner failed.

Their website is vaspray.com and it used to say it is women-owned, however, if you look more closely, it is owned by Eddie Wood in New Canton Virginia.

Key point - it was "repaired" with a "liner" not "painted" American Flag Blue, as Trump stated.
Liars all around Trump world.

Whether it's paint or a "liner," the dark blue color was an improper choice. It was never going to work.

They apparently used Rhino liner, which is also the same stuff that dumb imploding Titanic submersible had sprayed on it. There's a metaphor in there somewhere.

The floor of the pool is meant to be porous, not sealed, so mistake number one was putting down a sealant.

The algae now has a body guard.

I.e., hydrostatic pressure from below will continue pushing up against the liner. This will be worse in winter/spring with higher water tables. This is only going to get worse.

This is an excellent use of resources! /s

It’s hard to believe what our republic has become. Each one of Trump’s boneheaded decisions is costing precious taxpayer dollars.

Trump turned the pool green to help camouflage our brave National Guard in their uniforms!

I think Vaspray is a different woman owned company that makes douches.

I know Rhino liner as a flexible coating that can be tinted to bright colors. It’s often used as pickup truck bed liner and on the decks of pleasure boats.

I think the only way to fix the reflecting pool is to grind the liner off with diamond grinders. Same equipment is used to polish concrete floors. It will take a while and will be expensive. The original contractor should be made to pay for it.

Or they can call one of those bathtub liner companies.

The "vandalism" lie is just an official excuse to illegally send more taxpayer money to the grifter contractor to "repair" the damage.

There's always another layer to the scam when the Trump gang is involved.

He should pay for it. He made this mess, he should pay for it.

100%

Also, they need to drop charges on the folks they arrested. A properly applied sealant coating shouldn't be able to just be pulled up by someone with their bare hands. It's clear that it's separating on its own. I hope the people who got arrested sue Trump for false arrest and defamation, given his unhinged attacks calling them "radical lunatics" and falsely accusing them of vandalism.

Is everyone conveniently forgetting about the carved 86 47 into the bottom of the reflecting pool? You speak of vandalism as if it didn’t happen, rolling to your own “isms”.

You are conflating two different incidents. Nobody carved 86 47 into the reflecting pool. It was imprinted in grass.

You are correct - my bad. Wrong location, right sentiment. Corrosive chemicals were used to imprint 86 47 into the grass by deranged individual(s). Vandalization occurred, did it not?

In the grass, yes. I don’t think they’ve determined what was used yet, though. Nevertheless, we’re talking about the pool now, not the grass.

Stands to reason if there are deranged individuals who vandalize like that, the reflecting pool is fair game as well

It has a known algae problem since its inception, I have pictures of it with green water in 2016, the area is under 24/7 video surveillance, and it was painted dark blue (which will heat it making known algae problem even worse), not allowed sufficient time to cure, and then had NPS dumping peroxide in it!

You are an absolute idiot if you believe it was vandalized. I mean it. An idiot.

Furthermore, arresting people from pulling paint chips out of it is some authoritarian BS. I once pulled a floating plastic water bottle out of it that fell in and I didn't like seeing litter floating. Guess I am a felon too??

My daughter had her 2011 prom pics taken there and.... it was full of algae then.

What is it with the left spouting bald faced lies and expecting people to swallow them?

Ehhhh, your post makes zero sense in this context. What is your point?

My point is:

Trump has nothing to do with the algae and its presence isnt a failure on his part in anyway.

Now, if you want to talk about the left actively destroying the brand new liner, I'm happy too because I've seen countless videos and pictures of people CAUGHT DOING JUST THAT.

OMG, yes he does. There wasn't this issue before he went to go fix it, not to this degree. The addition of the color liner and sealing the floor of the pool managed to make the problem worse by super-heating the water and limiting the flow.

And no, there are not people actively destorying the liner...that is happening on its own. You REALLY need to get a primer on science and new sources of information.

This is no different than the grift with "the wall" at the southern border, that was rusting out and falling over before trump even left office. It is how the mob works, to get a budget, keep a budget and grow the income.
