Excuse me, excuse me. You're the traytuh. The Reflection Pool was filthy, Just like the Lincoln Monument. They were both destroyed by the rattical left. |
| I'm more upset by what they did to the Mall the last 30 years than painting a pool blue. |
|
Things need renovated from time to time. Painting it blue was completely unnecessary, looks horrible, and probably actually caused damage. When you people try to make these comparisons, all you do is highlight the fact that Obama didn’t do anything close to the stupid crap Trump does. Renovation is not the same as paint. Tearing down the East Wing for his own palace/bunker is not the same as converting a tennis court to a basketball court. You sound ridiculous. |
| Much like the contractors doing this job, I am no expert in pool painting. But I would assume there is more to it than painting a house or something. I am willing to bet they don’t know this and are doing this incorrectly and we will see giant chips of blue paint floating around in it within weeks. At least that will make it easier to remove in a couple of years. |

Trump is a builder and found a solution to create a more pleasant reflecting pool while spending less than his predecessors who were unable to correct the issues with a larger budget. Those who are opposed to this just hate anything this administration does.
|
As any actual builder will tell you, slapping paint on something doesn’t actually fix what’s wrong. It just makes it look pretty for a little while. The problems remain. |
Good one! Trump has built squat. His dainty hands have never carried a 2 x 4 or swung a hammer. Even in his younger days, he was a pear-shaped fancy boy. If you call stiffing contractors the mark of a reputable builder, you have found your “man.” |
100-percent correct. Trump likes for people to think he was a "builder" or was in "the construction business." Actually, he was a developer, which is a very different thing. Developers hire builders to carry out construction. And, in Trump's case, as a developer, he chronically ripped them off wherever/however he could, stiffing carpets, plumbers and electricians over and over again. There's a certain kind of developer whose stance to invoices is "Oh, you want to be paid for your work? Sue me" and "What're you going to do? Rip your drywall down or tear the plumbing out? I'll call the cops. You won't even be able to get on the site." A dishonorable scum bag. Trump has never done a day's physical work in his life. He has a fat ass and soft, small hands. |

Luckily, this is one of those things that can be easily reversed.
And for the a$$hats on here that are chosen to be deliberately obtuse: -this was a NO BID contract to one of his acquaintances; -renos are necessary from time-to-time, which is besides the point. Wash Monument was refreshed a few years back. As usual with Trump it's the WAY he does it: no bids, award to his friends, and his completely tacky to the point it is gauche beyond description. Just like his Cheesecake Factory pavilion where the rose garden once stood. -the Reflecting Pool was dark for a reason. To be solemn and a place for reflection. Not a place to imagine Phelps doing dolphin kicks on the mall. |
