That is the American way since the 70s.

Read about the times where government actually FUNDED education, and community pools, and community activiites and supports. THAT is how you make America great again.

And yet the welfare and entitlement budgets are three times as large as the DoD budget, decade after decade. Think before you type.

As they should be

Then don't make the statement "No money for anything but wars" because it's factually untrue.

Ok, wars and tax breaks for billionaires and pedophiles.

The top 50% of earners pay 97% of the entire income tax burden.

The bottom 50% of earners pay the remaining 3%. That's a helluva tax break!

I mean, duh. How many taxes do you think people are supposed to pay when they’re making garbage wage because we pass all profits up to the billionaires? What’s the billionaire effective tax rate?

Whenever I hear this ridiculous and stupid quote, I know that this person has never studied any economics in their entire lives.

That’s called “math”. What’s your point? Why would the poorest 50% ever pay more than the wealthiest 50%? Like what are you basing your expectations on?

That's called a super progressive tax system that is so steep, no country in Europe has it.

"The poorest 50%"? Look how you phrase things. To you, half the country is poor and owed. I mean WTF? How the hell can you be so damaged? Did someone drop you on your head? You thrive on failure.

Now we have half the country that pays zippy and votes for more and more. That's a road to decimation with so many having no stake in the the outcome.

You people continue to amaze me.

Those systems have economies that support workers and livable wages, there’s much less wealth disparity. Whatever coloring book you’ve scribbled in to learn about economics should be recalled.

What you are failing to account for is the enormous gap between the top 5% of earners and the rest of us. Of course the top 50% of earners are going to pay 97% of the total income taxes paid when just the top 5% are paying 60% of the total taxes paid. These numbers reflect the enormous wealth and income divide in this country. The bottom 30% pay zero in taxes and the the top 5% pay 60%. Earners in the 30% to 95% range pay their fair share and considering the mind blowing wealth of the top 5%, a case can be made for these middle class earners to pay less. The huge difference in taxes paid by income class isn't between the top 50% and bottom 50%; it's between the top 5% and everyone else.

It’s not a “super progressive tax system.”

It’s a late capitalism economy that gives 15% of the population nearly 90% of the income.

You can’t get blood from a stone.

Yeah health care and affordable education are the two most important thins. Without these two things, how can people even qualify to get the jobs that are basically gifted to the upper class through hereditary or class/racial gatekeeping? This is why there should basically be no generational wealth allowed. Because it gives douchebags on this thread the belief that their boost (padded walls, safe spaces, etc.) from birth was somehow merit based and everyone else is just lazy.

I think you need to follow South Korea’s example.
There’s no country in the world that is going to help the US get rid of their leader, when your leader has behaved so badly - mistreated, disrespectful, threatening tariffs with these countries.

Don't worry, most of the billionaires can offshore their wealth in 24 hours in a paper economy like rhe US has.

You are making a garbage wage because you insisted on the economics of redistribution by government edict. So we have a government that's largely based on handing out entitlements from 50% of the population to the other 50%. As Marx said, 'from those according to their abilities to those according to their needs.' You're already there.

Offshoring and AI will put a larger and larger dent in that.

Since you're blindly rooting for the Chinese and anyone who goes against Trump, as the US intellectual property goes out the door to the PRC, you'll see a greater and greater impact on broke cities and urban areas. But keep chanting Russia bad as China eats your breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Work from home? No, die at home.

lol…after you all went from “don’t tread on me” to “tread on me harder, daddy, protect me from brown people and the ouchy shots,” no one believes your tough guy acts.

We can just elect a government that taxes people appropriately and then returns the money we pay in taxes to the people in the form of services, instead of giving it all to wealthy pedophiles and defense lobbyists.
