What you say specifically about Harris may be true but even if she were a legitimately presidential candidate, she still would have had no chance of winning due to her being Biden's VP. The more telling stat is having the top 1% earn up to 20% on the total income earned in a given year. I'm not here to suggest we lump in the upper middle class with those who need to be paying much more in income tax. Who falls in the upper middle class tier of earners is subjective to where someone lives. The ultra wealthy have the means to pay much more regardless of where they live. The gap is very, very wide.
