Why do Rs hate the LGBTQ community?

Trans people aren’t new. They’ve always existed.

Maryland is right not to allow opt-outs. Public schools shouldn’t teach religion, and they shouldn’t erase LGBTQ+ people because of it. If your beliefs conflict, that’s something to handle at home or in your faith community.

Over 50% of trans and nonbinary youth seriously considered suicide last year (Trevor Project). That’s not because they’re being "taught" to be trans. It’s because they’re being told, over and over, that who they are is unacceptable.

Visibility saves lives. This isn't a difficult concept.

But why does lgb have to get dragged into this ugliness? I know a lot of lg that say there is a civil war between lgb on the one hand, and t on the other hand, and that the t’s have got to go. It makes no sense to lump with lgb.

Ah but this was an important concept when the alphabet soup terms came into vogue 25 or so years ago. It was always LGBT and no one batted an eye.

Then we got gay marriage which some said would be a slippery slope. And here we are.

Crazy how fast "why are people so focused on taking away rights from LGBTQ people?" turned into "the schools are turning my kids gay!!!" Almost as if many people on this forum have fallen hook, line and sinker for republican fearmongering.

Yall are crazy. It's wrong to impart on children that men can love men, women can love women, sometimes you are born something that you don't identify with. All this is wrong to tell children, but to tell them that some imaginary superior being exists you don't blink an eye at.

More likely due to undiagnosed mental disorders. But maybe changing genders, names, binding, hormones, etc. will be the magic solution.
