I disagree. All of King Farm is 5min closer to Gaithersburg HS and goes against traffic in AM so probably more like 10min closer.

I live in North Potomac(zoned to QO HS), not part of kentland/Lakeland, and not part of city of Gaithersburg district. I found out that I am not part of city of Gaithersburg through classes and camp registration. Where should I belong to?

Not sure what North Potomac means, but this will be driven by your (kid's?) ES. That's where you should belong to.

Not really. Stone Mill, Dufief, and Travilah are all in the area along Travilah Road and Dufief Mill Road.

FG is actually closer to Wootton but only about 1/2 a mile. But unless they take out Travilah or Dufief the traffic would be terrible on the one lane Wootton Parkway.

I think they just need to move Horizon Hill neighborhood to the very undercrowded Cold Spring ES so they can be walkers and leave the rest of RPES going into RM. But moving Wayside to Wootton before considering Ritchie Park, which half would be walkers to Wootton, is a terrible idea

I agree. This should happen before they bus a a walkable QO neighborhood to Gaithersburg.

These boudary changes are really mild for crown. There is no long distance bussing option like Woodward option 3.

It’s really equal distance to Crown and Gaithersburg HS. But none of the options move south King Farm out of RM.

I have said this for a long time, before any boundary discussion. It is the most elegant contiguous solution. Of course people have their preferences based on past experience but none of that matters in these discussions. Now Kentlands leaving is a new topic of course with Crown, but agree with City boundaries being logical here, and having enough students to fill Crown in one swath.

Yup. Same reason why Fallsgrove and Ritchie Park should go to Wootton and all of King Farm to RM.

No, again, some HS are too close together. Also, it would probably not address the four factors.

Most of the HS will look a bit different. Get over it.

It's not that easy. Relationships have been built. Property values may change. Some have a lot to lose.
