On the other hand, I think Harris will win this time around because institutions/business tends to favor Harris.

I voted for Trump but definitely don’t like him.

A vote for Trump is a vote against women and a vote for corruption. You must be proud.

Not every woman supports the right to kill their baby.

There are women who live a life completely dictated by the men in their lives. There are women who internalize the constant stream of misogyny in our society. They look to the men in their life to provide them thoughts/opinion and surrender their free will. I think we are all well aware of this fact.

And liberals/pro-choicers wonder why people are turned off by them. It is this attitude. If you dare hold the belief that human beings should not be killed inside the womb, that MUST mean you are evil, controlled by men, want to control women, etc. It couldn't be, gasp, that you don't think humans should be killed.

You would have much better success trying to persuade if you simply said, as it used to be before your side went off the rails: "Abortion is not good, it should be rare, but I still believe at the end of the day that women should have control over what happens to something inside their body, no matter what that means." Instead, you attack people for, gasp, having a problem with killing a human being.

Infant mortality is up since Roe was overturned. So good job. Point that finger at yourself bc you're killing infants.

So it evens out. What is the problem?

Those infants ghad to suffer for their few precious minutes or hours of life, struggling for breath and in incredible pain. And the mothers and families got to sit by and helplessly watch that struggle, then turn around and heal from a delivery and pay the exorbitant medical costs associated with the care, missed time from work, and emotional trauma. But YAY for those few minutes of life, right? Because you know the forced-birthers aren't stepping up to help out with the aftermath. All part of God's plan.

Funny, as a Christian myself who was raised in the Methodist church, that I don't remember the suffering of infants and their mothers being a part of God's plan for us.

Do Methodists not have the Book of Job in their Bibles? Life is suffering and Christians aren’t the only ones who accept this.

PP here - Trump is campaigning on issues and a positive vision for the future, and he is on the right side of illegal immigration, the biggest issue of the day. Kamala won't take a position on anything, her historic positions are too hard left, and she is over-playing the "hate Trump" card. Each day it seems like she does something more desperate, such as campaigning with the Cheneys (who are disliked by both parties) or saying that Trump wants to be Hitler. People see through it. Privately, even Democrats know she doesn't have the chops to be President. Like him or not, Trump does.

Trump will probably win the electoral college, because MAGAs would rather have women and babies suffer, and their families go bankrupt and hungry from medical bills, rather than allow abortion.

It's all about control and creating more poverty (cheap workers) than it is about fetuses, but the MAGAs will have to experience that for themselves.

The right to have an abortion is the SINGLE most important issue to me in the political landscape down to the political party that is able to appoint SCOTUS to keep it legal.

I hate Trump, I hate Kamala just as much but just on this issue, I would vote for her.

My problem is that she sucks so badly that I know while she may stand on this issue, she will likely falter on every other issue incl economics which I deem just as important for my family. I have a really really hard time with her and I'm also only 1 voter. She will likely still get my vote but the way she's going, I'm not sure she gets everyone's vote even on this huge single issue.

NP. Every single state has an exception for ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy, or if mother’s life is at risk. Now what a specific doctor does or doesn’t do is irrelevant. The law is that abortions in these circumstances are allowed

At what point is the mother's life "at risk" enough, though? If a doctor errs on the side of caution because they think their patient is at risk of sepsis or hemorrhage, or any number of other complications, who is to say that someone else might disagree and think they didn't wait long enough? And suddenly, it is a criminal case.

Or what about threats to health, but not necessarily life? What about a woman who becomes infertile, or ends up with life-long issues with her heart or kidney, etc. that could have been prevented with appropriate medical care that just might include abortion?
These states don't have bans that include opt-outs for health of the mother, terminal conditions in the fetus, etc.

This is why it has to be up to the woman and her doctor. It's crazy we are going through this again but we already went through this with Roe. Like there are decades of people wrestling with the logistics of how abortion restrictions work when there is any kind of litmus test and: they don't. They effectively stop abortions.

Surely some of you are old enough to remember people trying to implement requirements for judicial approval or paternal consent? It just results in dead babies and dead women because that's not how medical decisions can be made. You can pass restrictions against elective abortions in the third trimester because no one wants those anyway -- virtually all late term abortions are medically necessary.

You can always advocate against abortion. Even if it's legal. You can make the ethical or moral arguments. But it's basically impossible to legislate abortion without endangering women and babies. It doesn't work.

The price of groceries is killing a lot of lower and middle-income families. The latest data on FHA loan delinquency and credit card delinquency is actually quite scary. I make good money and am thankful for that, so I can absorb it, but my blood pressure still rises when I have to pay $7 for a three pack of cucumbers. Chuck roast has gone from mid $4/lb to $6.95 at Costco.

I can't even imagine how frightening the grocery bills are for some young couples just starting in their careers. I remember the early days of married life and entry-level salaries and there were stressful days and sleepless nights. I don't regret it. It's a rite of passage to struggle and save when young and build a nest egg for your golden years, but that was in the boom years of the 90s. Thinking about going through that with grocery prices now literally makes me feel sick.

My analysis of whether Biden/Harris are to blame for the inflation is mostly "yes". She cast the deciding vote on a lot of spending, and that's inflationary for sure.

Trump will inherit an economy of delinquent bills and will be falsely blamed for a coming recession. However, if he exacerbates the situation with tariffs - that's his own stupid fault.

I’m so F’ing SICK AND TIRED of hearing people complaining about the price of groceries. That sh!t is so played out it’s pathetic.

And really, why are we placing so much power in the hands of low income earners who clearly haven’t achieved much in life and are now complaining that hamburger helper is too expensive? Gee, I dunno, maybe you should’ve applied yourself a bit more in school and made something of yourself so the price of groceries aren’t a backbreaker for you? So now you’re going to vote for trump because groceries are expensive and then we get Project 2025 and Handmaid’s Tale and probably world war 3 and irreversible climate change and Jews and LGBTQIA people all getting shipped off to death camps…. because poors voted for trump because groceries cost more.

FML….. this is such bullsh!t.

Used to be. Jan 6th made it obvious that Trump has a very different version of The American political process. Apparently it's for what he wants and the voters desires are of no consequence to him.
